    York - unidentified XC service.

At platform 9 at the moment. A XC train passed through the station around platform 6 between 07:50 and 08:00. Can’t find the service on RTT. Anyone any ideas what this service was?

    LNER strike timetables

Are there likely to be any other good reasons beside business to upgrade to 1st via Seatfrog on strike days?

    Southeastern - Timetable change

Lots of people unhappy with the timetable changes Southeastern have brought in. Apologies for the no hyperlink or quotation formatting - they’re not working on my phone. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/southeastern-trains-railways-mps-scrapping-london-b1045572.html A train firm has come...

    LNER strike timetables

Managed to book my tickets. First train from York at 0802 was £127. Return at 1930ish was much more pleasant at £50-60. Both trains chocked full of reservations. Site was very slow for processing my card and details and there were a few moments where I thought I wasn’t going to get anything...

    LNER strike timetables

But surely that’s because NetworkRail and LNER won’t know until 5 days prior what staffing they’re able to run a service with? I agree it’s frustrating but a strike is a strike. Saying that, I did speak to a customer service agent on the chat this evening to ask what time tickets ‘might’ be...

    LNER strike timetables

Doesn’t look like there’s much difference between the strike/non-day timetables bar the earliest and late trains. Just going to have to hope that I can book tickets on Friday otherwise I’m scuppered!

    LNER strike timetables

Spoke to someone on the customer chat and they’d said it should have been today but due to go live tomorrow.

    LNER strike timetables

When I spoke to them last week, they said the 9th as the final day for timetabling issues should be five days prior. 1670345113 Which comments?

    Temporary Timetable 13th Dec - 7th Jan

Is this likely to impact LNER? Has anyone heard anything from them for the 15th?

    Overtaken LNER service

Looking on the LNER site, it says that the 08:13 service from York is overtaken but I can’t find where it is overtaken and by which service. Anyone know?

Realtime Trains: ‘Passed another service here’

So if it did pass a train, would that show up in the service history or would I have to try and find trains that have stopped in that area and Sherlock it?

Realtime Trains: ‘Passed another service here’

I’m looking at the following service: 1W50 - RTT, 1W50 on RTT. It says at Dorchester ‘this service passed another service’. I’ve seen a few people recently identifying a lot of information from RTT but I’m not sure how to find the service that was passed here in this example, or as last night...

Examples of Surprisingly Short Turnround Times

Trivia: Trains which take circular routes

Do these loop trains have an opposing direction too? How are these differentiated on display boards?

    Lumo allocations/diagrams

Was interesting to watch this glide through York station this morning. I was surprised there was no prior announcement of ‘Please stand back… not stop here’ that you usually here when a train doesn’t call at that platform.

Hebden Bridge route closure - stock allocations

A friend was complaining to me that due to the closure of the Hebden Bridge - Manchester route all the services on the east of the Pennines are 155s. Any ideas to the validity of his claims?

    Strangest long distance through trains

What is a 'through' service? A service whereby the initial journey is from point A to B but the following service run by that stock is to C creating an A-C journey?

Only some trains marked as ‘reversing here’

I’ve just been reading through the ‘Bridlington long distance train’ thread and had a quick look on RealtimeTrains to see what the current service is like. I’ve noticed that not all trains are marked as ‘reversing here’ but don’t all trains have to reverse at Hull?
