Yes, I've been watching it and saw it was on the Chieftain and knew it would be coming back and when, but unable to get out after it...

It wasn't out today, so I have a nasty feeling that tomorrow it'll be doing one multi stop into London from Leeds then escape me on the 10.00 or 12.00. I have a 16.00 ear appointment, so wouldn't be able to pursue it or the other two unless I can pick it up at Stevenage in a rather narrow time slot...

Well good luck for the appointment, and who knows the 800 could well end up in a better position tomorrow. No point chasing after it today and risk it running late/getting cancelled, then missing the more important appointment, when it could well end up on a much more convenient working tomorrow.

Chances are, it'll turn up with a move available into/out of it with one of your other desired IETs!

None of the three are out today. I can guarantee that they all will be tomorrow because I'll be in the office...

Then perhaps it is just as well your appointment is today, and that you will be at the office tomorrow. For all we know, they could be having work done to them right now, and that when it comes to your next opportunity to go chasing them they might all be out and easy to grab on a quick spin to Stevenage. Impossible to tell right now, but it is a funny ol' game and having patience can be very rewarding.

I will post my list of recent scores soon, I was meant to do so by now but it's been a crazy week and a bit. I've been out scoring again today, so my list will now at least be more accurate later!

EDIT:

My long awaited list is finally here!

Bit late posting, and a bit doom basher-esque, but oh well.

I don’t know why the lack of numerical order upsets me as much as it does

And I was grateful I'd already had it (and the 455s) before as that would have been embarrassing! The amount of 455s and 456s I have no record of is just awful!
Ah - the scourge of missing records. I only properly started recording the units I've had a few years ago (and even then was quite patchy at start since I relied on having a photo of the unit or otherwise randomly remembering it - now armed with RailMiles on my phone and RTT allocations I haven't missed anything for a while) - it's certainly frustrating looking at those holes in unit coverage that could've unknowingly been filled years ago...

(Annoyingly I have perfect records of all my Northern 170 journeys so I can't hope to claim those 2 units that keep avoiding me. Grr... )

I don’t know why the lack of numerical order upsets me as much as it does
I typically post the units in order of acquisition (mostly because I'm lazy and just cross-read from RailMiles). Certainly understand the sentiment though.

I’m thankful for clearing SWR (late 442s excluded) in summer 2019, as the pandemic, Uni in Cardiff from September and now withdrawals would have made it very hard. Sadly, the introduction of 484s mean the TOC is no longer cleared.

The other TOCs I’ve cleared are Govia Thameslink Railway, Avanti West Coast, Hull Trains, c2c, SouthEastern, Chiltern Railways, Heathrow Express, CrossCountry and London Northwestern (sub-brand I know)

Just need one 150 and two 57s for GWR now, five 801/2s for LNER, two 172s for West Midlands Railway, three 156s for Northern and three 175s for Transport for Wales.

That worked out well after all then :)

I'm taking a few days off the trains, I've been on them so much lately after all. To get a winner now, I've got to travel a fair ol' distance and that's an easy way to rack up credit card debt

I do keep forgetting the new trams in Birmingham, but I'm planning to be up there in the summer time for the Commonwealth Games so I'll combine trams with that I suspect. Unless 196s or 730s mysteriously start entering service before then!

It's the lack of moves that gets me vexed. :(
Oh no, I think moves just make it harder to see the numbers. This thread is after all about the winners you get, not the journeys you make ;)

Anyway, I certainly didn’t wish to start such a critique on poor @NoMorePacers ’ posts :oops:

This is one reason why I tend to post my lists after a trip report, when there's been enough of a day out to warrant one of course. I like the background to how people got their scores, especially when there's anecdotes to go with them :)

This thread really isn't for going into all that detail though, so people merely posting their lists with occasional notes on interesting bits like the last one of a class or whatever, that's absolutely fine by me 8-)

Cleared for mileage:

507033
508122
508139
508141
802201

Just 2 more 507s & 1 more 508 to try and get, assuming 507008, 507016 & 508125 haven't been stopped due to running out of miles.

23/1

802213 (2 more of the TPE 802s to go, happy when this one popped up on a semi-required move [was at Huddersfield and had 3 options to reaching Manchester before a TfW train, and this was one of the 3] :))

150002 - cleared the 150/0s
156401 - still in East Midlands livery
156423
158901
331022

Five more Northern units chalked off.

769431 as a 769. Had it as 319031 from Farringdon to London Bridge in 1988.

That cleared the active TfW fleet! :D Not counting 769421 or 769426, given their broken status and of course I'm now waiting for the 197s, 230s, 231s and 756s to begin service. In the meantime, in the words of Geoff Marshall: TfW, tick! :E

Very productive day there, congratulations. I wish there were more trains in London for me left to get - that whole list, for example, is dud for me. I miss the satisfaction of having a really productive travelcard day!
