St Mary Cray and Chislehurst
Meols Cop to Birkdale IIRC.
Eaglescliffe and Yarm are connected by GC.
I told him that 2 years agoGC don't stop at Yarm
It hasn't (there is a Search this Thread link at the top right of each thread) so that's a good suggestion. Not sure if Rutherglen to Carmyle has been mentioned.
It doesn't need to be entirely on passenger carrying lines(Although there are no passenger services which pass through both, the route between the two stations is entirely on passenger carrying lines).
Yes, that's another good one.Ashfield to Bishopbriggs
To clarify, for anyone who isn't sure what this means, the Eastbound Fort William Sleeper takes this route but calls at neither station.(Fort William sleeper)
It doesn't need to be entirely on passenger carrying lines![]()
I see no reason why they should not count, I will also add Guisely to Woodlesford.Does that mean Woodlesford to Shipley counts then? Or Burton to Leicester?
Service withdrawn in 1963. Not a National Rail station..... Quainton Road ...
Also disused.Watford West
DittoCroxley Green![]()
There is one train per day so it does not count as having no direct service.Frodsham to Runcorn (aside from that special)
Daniel already had this one in July 2010 (top right of each thread there is a Search this thread linkAngel Road to Ponders End
Big Chris had this one in August 2010.Shippea Hill to Lakenheath
Nope, impossible to do without a reversal.Ebbsfleet Intl. to Northfleet
South Croydon-Sanderstead
the bottom of the triangle at Southport is severed at the Wigan line end so it's not possible to run direct.
Service withdrawn in 1963. Not a National Rail station.
But it is on a national rail line, even if it only gets a service on three Mondays a year.
Could we have Quainton Road to Bletchley (freight only line through Calvert)? I don't have a midland Quail so not sure of the layout.
Quainton Road- Bletchley line is completely abandoned beyond Calvert. It is to be reopened in the future with a new station at Winslow
Aylesbury Vale Parkway to Quainton Road (Aside from bank holidays)
Hi can anyone think of 2 consecutive stations with no direct link?
Ely is in between!Kennet to Manea
Ely is in between!
Shippea Hill to Manea definitely qualifies though
Continuing with the Sunday only routes:
Yeoford - Sampford Courtenay
(Frodsham - Runcorn)
There is one train per day so it does not count as having no direct service.
Langley Mill to Kirkby in Ashfield (I think)
.
The original question is asking for no direct service, rather than infrequent services.Aside from the Saturday train that runs fast from Chester to Runcorn, nothing uses the Halton curve so it does count, surely.
There is a train that calls at both: 1739 BHM-DBY calling at Water Orton, Wilnecote, Tamworth, Burton & Willington.Apparently Wilnecote - Water Orton doesn't have a direct service.
At certain times of the day the NRE journey planner gives 2 changes, New St and Nuneaton!!
Yes.Has anyone mentioned Lakenheath - Shippea Hill?
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Or St James' Park - Pinhoe?
