You can check realtime trains on a daily basis to see what is allocated. Choose your starting station using the detailed view, narrow down the search by TOC, it will narrow down the search for you showing all trains by cross country. Then by clicking on a service, you will see what is currently allocated to it.

Currently 0606 Edinburgh to Plymouth showing as an HST https://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/service/gb-nr:G29628/2021-06-16/detailed#allox_id=0

I haven't checked the other diagrams, but you can easily do so.

Hi, would anyone happen to know what the diagrams will be for next week (Mon-Fri) due to the diversion that XC will be taking via Westbury because of the engineering works in Bristol?

I assume they will be near to normal but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks :)

The diversion adds an hour to the timetable so the diagrams will be slightly different. By looking at RTT it looks to be the following:
1S51 1127 Plymouth - Edinburgh

1V44 0611 Leeds - Plymouth
1E63 1427 Plymouth - Leeds

1V50 0606 Edinburgh - Plymouth

Don't think the Edinburgh - Bristol - Edinburgh will be running.

Slight correction, sorry to 1S51. Starts from Penzance at 09:25 :) . So really passengers get treated to extra capacity between Penzance and Plymouth.

1S51 is incorrect. You're missing the third diagram.

I’m thinking of doing a small trip from York to Derby on Saturday 25th September. (The 0844 off York) will this be the hst set?

No it won't be. The HSTs that day are 1V44 0611 ex LDS and 1V50 0839 ex NCL. via Rhubarb curve and Bristol east depot.
