Mea Culpa! Corrected

Given the Promotional Material, that shouldn't come as a great surprise
For anyone interested, it does seem to be confirmed that GWR are hosting an event at Paddington on Thursday involving IEP No. 800004 which could be vinyls in GWR Livery. I have found two paths so far on RTT that confirm this, seems to be occurring at the Platform 1 area:

Pretty sure the promotional material was published before the change in the rules regarding lighting vs. yellow ends. I'm surprised GWR aren't eager to be the first to ditch the yellow even if just for the extra publicity.
Awesome! I'm in Swindon for the morning but finish at midday so could be in Reading for 1pm - 1:30pm, wonder if we can get on the IEP and use it to get to Paddington?
Doubt it, they haven't been passed for passenger service yet have they?
Ditto!Just been passed North Pole and can confirm that 800 004 is definitely in GWR livery.
Given the Promotional Material, that shouldn't come as a great surprise
Great Western Railway unveiled its first Intercity Express Programme (IEP) Class 800 at Reading on June 30, carrying invited passengers to London Paddington. However, on June 28, JACK BOSKETT and RICHARD CLINNICK were invited to look at the first IEP at North Pole.
The five-car bi-mode train (800004) is the first of 86 trains ordered for the Great Western franchise. The trains will enter traffic from July 2017, introduced initially on services to Bristol and South Wales.

No more speculating now, here are the pictures of the named 800004 in GWR livery
Looks good indeed, 800004 named "Sir Daniel Gooch"
I can't help but feel the vinyl around the cab door is poorly done, there seems to be more white than green!
Here's a picture of 800004 "Sir Daniel Gooch" at Paddington, taken off twitter. Looks good to me!

Thanks for sharing the article from Rail Magazine. My favourite pic from that link would probably be this one

Does anyone know why the first door of the leading car is green and not gray, like the other doors? I'm talking about the one behind the cab door.
It's for staff use only. Doors used by passengers have to contrast or be a different colour to that of the main livery so it complies with Disability Laws etc, so TOCs tend to just blend staff doors in with the main livery to stop people thinking it's in passenger use.Does anyone know why the first door of the leading car is green and not gray, like the other doors? GWR have today released a 360* video of the Cab whilst in action:

I hope that bouncing around is down to the track quality of Old Dalby Test Track (where that video was filmed) than the actual quality offered by the 800s!
That was a DFT mandate for the sets they (DFT) ordered for the PAD-Bristol/Cardiff runs. However I'm quite surprised GWR are going to keep the dining carriages etc, I thought they were going to get rid of them?
