Did you mean, 44015 has replaced it. 40402 was taken away by Alleley’s after dropping off 44015. Not sure of its destination though44015 has also now joined it. Quoted for "a project" in Swansea

I was unaware of 40402 being moved again. Its been stripped internally before scrapping thoughDid you mean, 44015 has replaced it. 40402 was taken away by Alleley’s after dropping off 44015. Not sure of its destination though
I was unaware of 40402 being moved again. Apparently its due to be stripped internally and have its bogies salvaged before scrapping though
Not sure but 40402 is/was owned by Eastern Rail Services so they could be for their use or they may sell them on.Who is having the salvaged parts?
There’s some pictures of it on Twitter @sleepyste and yes it’s been stripped internally. He mentioned 44015 is being used in a film project.I was unaware of 40402 being moved again. Its been stripped internally before scrapping though
Hi Guys - Could anyone confirm that the Bay Studios in Swansea have brought 40402 ( 40002 ) and possible 44015. ------ Thanks Peter.
So far as I know they belong to Eastern Rail Services. 40402 was taken there, had its interior removed (for use in filming?) then was taken away again on the lowloader which delivered 44015. Don't know where 40402 went - Great Yarmouth, possibly?
Wasn’t 44015 previously at AFRPS? Was it always intended this one would be scrapped?
Never seen any reports about any HST coaches going to Eastern Rail services at Great Yarmouth - can anyone give list of what gone there and maybe the dates ----- PETER.
Not sure if it's been finished with yet, but 44015 is supposedly going to be scrapped when it has been finished withYes, it was in the Ely - Scunthorpe move on the 15th of March. Though I’m unsure of it’s ownership since, all stock being used in South Wales for filming are owned by Eastern Rail Services.
I know it's a very long time since the last post, but I happened to drive past Swansea Bay Studios this morning and there were definitely two ex-FGW HST coaches "on the lot". Could have been another one hidden behind the building. I did stop to take a couple of pictures, but my phone camera is ancient and pretty rubbish. Sadly couldn't see numbers but I offer the pictures here in case anyone finds them interesting. So far as I know they belong to Eastern Rail Services. 40402 was taken there, had its interior removed (for use in filming?) then was taken away again on the lowloader which delivered 44015. I believe the one on the left is TGS 44015, the one on the right being 40402 (which is not actually ex-FGW - it appears to have had a partial repaint out of the black colours it had before it arrived).I know it's a very long time since the last post, but I happened to drive past Swansea Bay Studios this morning and there were definitely two ex-FGW HST coaches "on the lot". I could be mistaken but those two coaches look like 44015 & maybe 40402?I know it's a very long time since the last post, but I happened to drive past Swansea Bay Studios this morning and there were definitely two ex-FGW HST coaches "on the lot". The last original condition 402 as well. A shame it was gutted before / during it's time at Swansea. As they say, once it's gone it's gone!I believe the one on the left is TGS 44015, the one on the right being 40402 (which is not actually ex-FGW - it appears to have had a partial repaint out of the black colours it had before it arrived).

Thanks!
The ex GA Mk3's are now property of ROG, so will be back at Derby by now.See here:
Looks like LNER Mk3s - some with the EMR Intercity branding on them so must have clearly been in use until the recent timetable changes! (May 2021 - saw the last of the HSTs retired from the MML. The fate of the MK3s were as expected.)
Ironically the barrier coaches were Greater Anglia Mk3s! Wonder if they survived or whether they were scrapped too?
