Are there any plans to set the whole of Princes Street and the Bridges as public transport only? It's horrifically slow today with so many private cars.
In the short term there were plans to add a northbound bus gate on North Bridge/South Bridge as part of Spaces for People and the bridge refurbishment but I understand there were legal threats from private hire companies. Long term, the bridges will become bus/taxi/cycle only as part of the North/South tram line. Are there any plans to set the whole of Princes Street and the Bridges as public transport only? What I was meaning is send it to Lothian Country instead of repainting, I wasn’t meaning it to be sent to East Coast Buses in that livery, I should have been a bit clearerKeep it in Lothian Country colours when its operating in service for East Coast Buses?
A little bit of common sense and logic from some people would go a long way![]()

The 3 seemed to be quite bad for full and standing too, and also for bunching; I was on a 3 from Dalkeith going into town, there were two 3s running together 10 minutes ahead of the service I was on (according to the tracker), and yet the one I was on was still almost full (it was standing but then some people choose to stand even when there are spare seats).Congestion has been very bad sround town this afternoon. How can they improve that though? They're unlikely to change the timetables to take into account roadworks which are temporary, and the Company itself can't do anything about the amount of other traffic on the road which is clogging everything up.Something has to give, I've been late finishing every day for the last 3 weeks - 40 minutes late off a 30 from the centre at Longstone yesterday (at 2pm!) really took the biscuit. Traffic is back with a vengeance.
It's obviously very short notice but they would be wise to run a weekday timetable tomorrow as I feel like it's going to be even worse; reduced number of buses out and the forecast was for hot and sunny the whole day (well, it was when I checked earlier anyway!!).English Bank Holiday weekend (which a lot of large employers follow) won't be helping matters, nor the first weather forecast in a while that didn't recommend a diving bell if you were going outside...
What happened to social distancing on the buses?Congestion has been very bad sround town this afternoon. Quite a lot of full and standing buses too most noticeably on the 44
Lothian have never enforced physical distancing by restricting capacity and have left it up to passengers to decide if a bus is too busy. What happened to social distancing on the buses?

Not very wise for a council owned company to have standing passengers in the midst of a pandemic.Lothian have never enforced physical distancing by restricting capacity and have left it up to passengers to decide if a bus is too busy.
What's the alternative? What happened to social distancing on the buses?
Reduced capacity like most operators in the country have been doing. What's the alternative?
Every other company is able to use every forward facing seat... no social distancing there...Reduced capacity like most operators in the country have been doing.
Only in England as of May 17th. It should come as no surprise that Scotland is still on 40-45% capacity, officially.Every other company is able to use every forward facing seat... no social distancing there...
(Aproximately) July 2019.When did the Gemini 1 B7TLs first start to get withdrawn?
Excluding 701, the first Gemini B7TLs were withdrawn March 2019 when the first XLBs entered service. When did the Gemini 1 B7TLs first start to get withdrawn?
Wrong. There were already around 30 off the road by then.(Aproximately) July 2019.
I was going to say that but it seemed too earlyExcluding 701, the first Gemini B7TLs were withdrawn March 2019 when the first XLBs entered service.

More B5's or something different?
I've read coaches but could just be talk....
I'm not gonna give a direct answer but I will say, coaches are normally build in Scarborough.More B5's or something different?
Do the ex-Green Arrow coaches belong to Motorcoahes now?I'm not gonna give a direct answer but I will say, coaches are normally build in Scarborough.
That being said more diversity was being sought in Motorocaches. ADL Falkirk could also provide finishing touches, paint and interiors.
Aye, under ownership with Motorcoaches running Rail Replacement mainly. Also available for hire on their website.Do the ex-Green Arrow coaches belong to Motorcoahes now?
