I think Liverpool Lime Street is LLS?
I thought that it was LIV.

I thought that it was LIV.
According to Northern Rail a 319 ran to Wigan this morning, anyone see it/snap it?
It is. LLS is Llanishen
Not wishing to get too much off topic, but can anyone explain the derivation of St. Helens Central - SNH - (originally St Helens Shaw Street) the Junction station is pretty obvious, being SHJ ?
Does it look therefore as if this 0600 LIV-WGN 319 is going to run every Sat morning up to timetable changeover on the 17th or are there likely to be more?
It's easier to take pics if we know when they are running.....

The derivation could be that BR kept the SNH St Helens Shaw Street, code rather than changing to a new code to avoid confusion, or SHC code may not have been available, SHC is currently used for the code for Streethouse which opened in 1992 5 years after the St Helens Central name change.
Well SHC is Streethouse, so that one has gone. I think that they are generally the best fit they can get but sometimes the letters just have to be whatever is available, e.g. ZFD - Farringdon.

Yes, someone else had pointed that out to me hence why I said "think" and also a question mark the end of the sentence. I was not sure but appreciate the correction.Sorry Doug but Lime Street is LIV. Others can be found on the Network Rail website.I think Liverpool Lime Street is LLS?
Ooh dear, what have I started ? !!
The only thing I can think of is that it was constructed something like this -
SaiNtHelens
Wouldn't like to be in Ware, though........
Busy day over Chat Moss this Sunday with 51 VT services scheduled to pass through Eccles in total (Preston and Liverpool diversions).
There will be the opportunity to travel between Manchester Piccadilly and Liverpool Lime Street on a Class 390 with departures from Liverpool at 09:41, 10:43 and then hourly to 18:43. Piccadilly departures are at 11:22 12:22, 13:22, 14:21, 15:21, 16:22, 17:22, 18:22, 19:15, 20:17, 21:17 and 22:20.
Sustained 90mph running should be possible providing there is nothing too close ahead.
Not to or from Liverpool Lime St bar two ECS's. See:--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
Also 21 VT trains on Saturday ...some ECS .

It's a lot easier to read posts with the full name. We're not all station geeks!Sorry Doug but Lime Street is LIV. Others can be found on the Network Rail website.

Caught at last !
The 0600 Lime St - Wigan NW diagram (which carries on to join the airport service). Today's unit was 319362 'Northern Powerhouse'.
As far as I am aware, the first powered Pendolino Passenger service on the whole L&M route was in the hands of 390141 "City of Chester" passed Whiston Station @ 09.55hrs on 1A12 09.41hrs Liverpool Lime St - London Euston. Behind that train @ 10.06hrs was 390043 "Virgin Explorer" on 5P16, 09.30hrs Edge Hill IC Depot to Preston ECS.
Hopefully, got the Pendo numbers right but watching the Pendo's go pass was a little strange to say the least.
Shame Northern put a Tory mantra on a train that way.
Here is the 13:43 from Liverpool Lime Street heading eastwards throught St Helens Junction. I think it was 390037.
