507001 has moved on. It is now on 2W18, and passed through Birkenhead North about ten minutes late headed for West Kirby.

If you're still wanting to see 507031, it's sat outside Birkenhead North sheds - alongside the running lines, so very visible.

Disruption in the Sandhills area means that some of the Southport allocations are very likely to change. For example, 507003/007, initially expected to work the 1527 ex Southport has only just (1505) left Sandhills on its way to Southport, so certainly won't arrive in time to work that service.

507021 was on its own from 1527 onwards but 003 was definitely attached on the inward working.
507029 was on 1706 from Hunts Cross and presumably 1827 off Southport.
507033+507015 1512/1742 off Southport.
Yesterday 507011 was on one of the Chester diagrams that comes off in the evening when the service drops to every 30mins. It went ECS and was stabled in the bay at Rock Ferry, then came back out later on to replace a broken 777 on the late shift!

A random though occurred to me today. How have the 507s managed to retain the original 1980/1990s hustle alarms? Everything else that survived much beyond January 2020 was retro fitted, including types that have long since been withdrawn.
I don't think there was any requirement to change them as the 507/8s lack passenger door controls. The 483s on the Isle of Wight also retained an old-style hustle alarm (just 'beep-beep' in their case) to the end.
