I don't really have a unit/loco type that I hate to the point of desperately trying to avoid it.
That said, my least liked stock would have to be the 380s. Compared to my local stock (318s, 320s & 334s), the seats on the 380s just seem a bit too firm (not enough padding etc). That's more of a pathetic, personal gripe with them than anything else, as they are fine units otherwise.
Long distance stock, Voyagers and Pendos.
Short distance, 142s.
But even 142s are luxury compared to their predecessor, the 141s, they were really, really bad.
They were nice in their SWTs days, can't speak for what they've been like since leaving SWT
Just wanted to know what traction everyone hates
For me it's the pacer 142s
I'm going to be controversial - Pacers aren't part of my day-to-day railway, so when I do get one it's a bit of a novelty to me. So I don't hate them.So many people hate pacers!
flying scotsman - one big con of a rebuild...should have painted, plinthed and stood next to Lion....
what are those things? From a professional point of view, the Windhoff Mpv. Deeply, deeply terrible things.
Here you go...what are those things?
390s Hate everything about them
