701163 (Fare route) During to engineering works impacting London Marylebone on 28 January 2024, tickets priced on (00264) CHALFONT & LATIMER will be valid via Amersham. This fare route easement applies in both directions.
This was a temporary easement, and the dates for it have passed.
Added:
701165 (Fare route) During engineering works between the 24 and 27 March 2024, tickets from Hereford, Ledbury, Colwall, Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Worcester Foregate Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcestershire Parkway, Pershore and Evesham priced on (00799) LONDON EVESHAM, (00803) EVESHAM/STROUD, (00805) VIA EVESHAM, (00827) LONDON STRD/EVSHAM for journeys to or via London, will be valid via Birmingham New Street for journeys via Watford Junction. Or valid via Birmingham Moor Street for journeys via High Wycombe. Fares priced on (00799) and (00805) will also be valid via Bristol Parkway and Swindon. This fare route easement applies in both directions
There are no trains between Charlbury and Worcester Shrub Hill on the above dates, and there are a number of easements for it, and a number of sets of route codes they affect.
This easement permits travel via Birmingham for people with flexible tickets with "Evesham" in the route code, so long as they go somewhere near London (High Wycombe for journeys via Birmingham Moor Street or Watford Junction for ones via Birmingham New Street). If the route code doesn't include "Stroud", they are also permitted to travel via Bristol Parkway and Swindon.
The easement data doesn't mention Hereford et al, so someone travelling from Bromsgrove or Droitwich may also benefit.
701166 (Local) During engineering works between 24 t0 27 March 2024 tickets from Worcestershire Parkway, Pershore and Evesham priced on (00000) ANY PERMITTED, (00799) LONDON EVESHAM and (00805) VIA EVESHAM for journeys to or via London, will be valid via Birmingham New Street for journeys via Watford Junction. Or valid via Birmingham Moor Street for journeys via High Wycombe. Or Cheltenham Spa for journeys via Swindon. This local easement applies in both directions
This is a local easement for journeys to and from one of the above stations, which covers flexible tickets where the route code mentions "Evesham" but not "Stroud", as well as "any permitted" and (in the data) (01000). It means that (for example) a flexible Worcestershire Parkway-Appleford ticket can be used via Bristol Parkway. I don't know what effect it has when the origin and destination don't share a routeing point.
701167 (Map) During engineering between 24 and 27 March 2024, customers travelling to or via London from Hereford, Ledbury, Colwall, Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Worcester Foregate Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcestershire Parkway, Pershore Evesham, on tickets priced on (00799) LONDON EVESHAM, (00803 EVESHAM/STROUD, (00805) VIA EVESHAM and (00827) LONDON STRD/EVSHAM . May travel via Birmingham and either High Wycombe or Watford Junction. This map easement applies in both directions.
The data for this easement is a bit different from the text. It adds locations to any "mapped" routes used with flexible Evesham (but not Stroud) route codes where the journey does not go via Oxford. For these it adds the points in the route Worcester-Bromsgrove-Birmingham-Warwick-South Ruislip-London Marylebone. It doesn't add Smethwick, Coventry or any points on a route via Watford Junction.
701170 (Map) During engineering works between the 24 and 27 March 2024, tickets from Worcestershire Parkway, Pershore and Evesham priced on (00000) ANY PERMITTED, (00799) LONDON EVESHAM, (00805) VIA EVESHAM and (00433) AP EVESHAM for journeys to or via London, will be valid via Yate, Cam & Dursley and Bristol Parkway for journeys via Swindon. This map easement applies in both directions
This adds points to any mapped routes from or to Evesham, Pershore or Worcestershire Parkway which go via Swindon using a ticket where the route code mentions "Evesham" but not "Stroud", or is an "any permitted" one. The data does not include (01000), but it and the text do include "AP Evesham" (which is offered for journeys between Worcestershire Parkway and various stations, mainly in SE England). It adds Worcester Shrub Hill, Cheltenham and Bristol Parkway. It doesn't add Swindon, so doesn't help someone with (say) an Evesham-Reading ticket.
701173 (Fare route) During engineering works between the 24 and 27 March 2024, tickets from Hereford, Ledbury, Colwall, Great Malvern, Malvern Link, Worcester Foregate Street, Worcester Shrub Hill, Worcestershire Parkway, priced on (00799) LONDON EVESHAM, (00433) AP EVESHAM and (00805) VIA EVESHAM, for journeys to or via London, will be valid via Stroud and Swindon. This fare route easement to apply in both directions.
This is a fare route easement which permits travel via Stroud and Swindon. Unlike the "via Bristol" route permitted by easement 700165, this does apply to "AP Evesham" advance tickets. As with all of these easements, the data does not mention London.
701168 (Fare route) On the 7th, 8th, 12th, 18th of February there will be no rail service nor rail replacement between Barking and Upminster. Tickets priced on (00118) VIA UPMINSTER, will be valid for journeys via Barking.
I could only see an amended timetable for the 18th when I looked. This easement means that (say) a Basildon-London ticket may be used via Grays on the above dates, anyway.
701169 (Fare route) Due to engineering blockades on 11, 18 and 25 February 2024, customers travelling with tickets priced on (00096) NOT VIA CARDIFF, travelling on rail replacement services, from to or via Pye Corner, may get connecting trains from Cardiff Central, This fare route easement applies in both directions.
The Ebbw Vale line is closed then, and none of the buses go to Newport. This easement means that "not via Cardiff" tickets to and from there can still be used.
701171 (Fare route) On Sundays 31 March and 07 April 2024 when the line between Westbury and Castle Cary is closed. Customers with tickets priced on (00063) VIA NEWBURY and (00494) AP NEWBURY will, be valid on journeys via Swindon. This fare route easement to apply in both directions.
Looking on nre.co.uk, I could see this diversion for a London-Trowbridge "via Newbury" ticket but not for Theale-Trowbridge.
701172 (Fare route) On Sundays 31 March and 07 April 2024 when the line between Westbury and Castle Cary is closed. Customers travelling from Pewsey, Bedwyn, Hungerford, Kintbury, Newbury, Newbury Race Course, Thatcham, Midgham, Aldermaston, and Theale with tickets priced on ((00810) NOT VIA READING, will be valid for travel via Reading. This fare route easement to apply in both directions.
This easement lets "not via Reading" tickets be used for journeys via Reading for tickets from and to stations between Theale and Pewsey. You could travel via Reading West instead, but nre.co.uk only shows this as valid for journeys from the above stations, and not ones to them.
Changed (added sections in red, removed ones in green):
701160 (Fare route) Between 10 and 18 February, On the 10th and between the 12 and 18 February, the route between Reading and Guildford is closed. Customers On these days, customers travelling with tickets priced on (00615) VIA GOMSHALL will be valid for travel via Basingstoke. This fare route easement applies in both directions.
The easement no longer applies on 11th February. The planned line closure has not changed, so this may be because the line between Weybridge and Basingstoke is also closed then.
701161 (Fare route) Between 10 and 18 February, On the 10th and between the 12 and 18 February, the route between Reading and Guildford is closed. Customers travelling with tickets priced on (00615) VIA GOMSHALL will be valid for travel via East Croydon, Clapham Junction and Basingstoke. This fare route easement applies in both directions.
The easement no longer applies on 11 February, and is only valid if you go via Basingstoke. The data is slightly different to the text. It doesn't require travel via East Croydon but instead bars travel via London. This easement could be handy for someone with a Winchester-Gatwick ticket, but there aren't many "via Gomshall" tickets for journeys west of Basingstoke.
701164 (Map) Between 10 and 18 February, On the 10th and between the 12 and 18 February, when the route between Reading and Guildford is closed. Customers travelling with tickets priced on (00615) VIA GOMSHALL will be valid for travel via Basingstoke and Redhill. And via East Croydon, Clapham Junction and Basingstoke. This map easement applies in both directions.
This no longer applies on the 11th, and only applies to "via Gomshall" tickets. The stations the data for the easement includes have been expanded (for any route which needs them). As well as Redhill-Guildford-Farnborough-Basingstoke-Reading, it now also includes Gatwick-Streatham-Clapham Junction-Woking-Basingstoke.
In addition to the above, easement 600069 no longer bars travel if you go via all of St. Pancras, Stratford and Stratford International. The text remains:
600069 (Circuitous Route) Customers travelling from or via Stratford Domestic station to or via London St Pancras may not travel via Stratford International except on tickets routed 00131 Plus High Speed. This easement applies in both directions.
The following post was made on on 10th February 2024.
Some changes were made to the routeing guide on Wednesday.
Changes from 02 Feb 2024 (484) to 07 Feb 2024 (485).

701135 (Map) Due to engineering works until noon Sunday 12 November 2023 and all day on Saturday 13 January 2024. Customers travel to Bath Spa may ravel via Bristol Temple Meads. This map easement applies in both directions
701138 (Map) During engineering work route closures between the 20th and 28th January 2024, journeys between the West Country to or via Bristol Temple Meads can be routed via Westbury and Bath Spa. This map easement applies in both directions
701139 (Doubleback) During engineering work line closures between Bristol and Weston Super Mare, on the 20th to 28th January 2024, customers may doubleback between Bristol Temple Meads and Bath Spa on journeys from, to or via Taunton.
701140 (Map) During engineering works, impacting journeys from Didcot Parkway via Swindon on the 07 and 14 January 2024, customers will be able to travel via Reading, Newbury and Westbury. This map easement will apply in both directions.
701141 (Fare route) During engineering works, impacting journeys from Didcot Parkway via Swindon on the 07 and 14 January 2024, customers with tickets priced on (00847) VIA SWINDON will be able to travel Newbury. This fare route easement will apply in both directions.
701142 (Map) During engineering works, impacting journeys from Didcot Parkway to London, on the 26 November 2023, and the 24 and 27 December 2023, travel will be valid via Oxford Parkway and High Wycombe to London Marylebone. This map easement will apply in both directions.
701154 (Map) During engineering closure of the Severn Tunnel on 31 December 2023 and the 28 January 2024 to 14.25 on each day. This map easement will create temporary map permissions from Bristol to Newport via Gloucester. It will apply in both directions.
701155 (Local) The Severn Tunnel will be closed on 31 December 2023 and 28 January 2024, until 14.25 on each day. Customers from Severn Tunnel Junction, Caldicot, Chepstow and Lydney travelling to Cam & Dursley, Yate, Bristol Parkway , Filton Abbeywood, Lawrence Hill, Stapleton Road and Bristol Temple Meads, or to destinations via Bristol Parkway may travel on trains via Gloucester to avoid using the rail replacement bus service. This Local easement applies in both directions.
701156 (Map) during engineering diversions on 20 - 21 January 2024 works customers travelling from Brighton to London may travel via East Grinstead on Rail Replacement Bus services or on rail services via Horsham and Epsom. This map easement applies in both directions.
These were temporary easements for whch the dates have now passed.
Added:
701174 (Map) Due to engineering closures south of Milton Keynes from 29 March 2024 to 01 April 2024. This map easement will allow journey planners to show itineraries using rail replacement services from Milton Keynes and onward train journeys from Bedford to London St Pancras International. It will apply in both directions.
There are no trains between Watford Junction and Milton Keynes over the Easter weekend. This adds London St Pancras, West Hampstead Thameslink, Bedford and Milton Keynes to any mapped route which can make use of them.
701175 (Fare route) During engineering closures south of Milton Keynes from 29 March 2024 to 01 April 2024. This fare route easement will allow tickets priced on (00403) AP CARLISLE and (00452) AWC & CONNECTIONS to be valid on services via Bedford. It will apply in both directions.
This allows someone to use an "AWC & Connections" ticket via Bedford on the above dates. This is needed because the route code is actually defined as excluding routes via Bedford (as well as Banbury, Barrow, Huddersfield and Peterborough). The "AP Carlisle" route code is, as far as I know, unused.
701176 (Fare route) During engineering closures south of Milton Keynes from 29 March 2024 to 01 April 2024 This fare route easement will permit tickets priced on (00043) AVANTI TRAINS ONLY, (00060) AVANTI & TPE ONLY, (00117) AVANTI & NTH ONLY, to use replacement services to Bedford and onward by East Midlands and Thameslink trains. It will apply in both directions.
This allows tickets with some of the Avanti-specific route codes to be used on EMR and Thameslink trains. Others (such as the one used by first class Avanti-only London-Glasgow tckets) are unaffected.
701177 (Map) On 17 and 18 February, when trains from and beyond Clapham Junction to and via Guildford are routed via Virginia Water, this map easement will create temporary permissions via Barnes and Virginia Water. It will operate in both directions.
SWR aren't going through Wimbledon on that weekend, and there are diverted trains which are non-stop between Clapham Junction and Woking. This easement adds stations to some mapped routes (specifically those which don't go through Ascot or Slough) to permit their use. The stations it adds permit routes which go via Clapham Junction, Virginia Water, Byfleet & New Haw and Woking.
Changed (added sections in red, removed ones in green):
701166 (Local) During engineering works between 24 t0 to 27 March 2024 tickets from Worcestershire Parkway, Pershore and Evesham priced on (00000) ANY PERMITTED, (00799) LONDON EVESHAM and (00805) VIA EVESHAM for journeys to or via London, will be valid via Birmingham New Street for journeys via Watford Junction. Or valid via Birmingham Moor Street for journeys via High Wycombe. Or Cheltenham Spa for journeys via Swindon. This local easement applies in both directions
This fixes a typo. It also changes one of the conditions. Instead of journeys from or to Evesham, Pershore and Worcestershire Parkway via Swindon being allowed via Cheltenham, they are now allowed via Evesham, Pershore and Worcestershire Parkway. I don't know what effect this has.
Route changes:
Changed (added sections in red, removed ones in green):

AP HULLTRNS ONLY (00475) (208 records)

This adds Heathrow Express (but not Elizabeth Line) to the list of permitting train companies.
