Édimbourg. (Also, it's le français, masculine. :P)

Like York, the name of London comes directly from Latinized Celtic. (Most other Romano-British settlements have had "-chester" or similar added to their original names.)

Assuming you mean Ashford, Kent... (can I request we state the county for ambiguous names?)

Paul O'Grady lives in Ashford. He was born in Birkenhead.

I think we should be on Pollock,but I have no idea where Pollock is - it doesn't appear on a Streetmap search. Maybe we should have a separate fish thread? :D
