By the looks of bustimes.org, Stagecoach South East have gained 4 very new E400MMCs from Manchester's Bee Network, having only been in service there for around 3 months.
Members of the "Stagecoach in Andover" Facebook group (can't share due to the group being private) showcases that the new Solo SRs have "Keeping Andover Connected" vinyl branding on them as they are now entering service.Andover’s new Solo SRs, numbered 48135 to 48140, have entered the fleet while existing Tridents 19055, 18188, 18311 and 18514 have been moved to reserve for relocation.
I didn't see any vinyls on the trio of new ones I saw in Andover yesterday (135/138/140), unless they haven't received it yet. Looked quite nice insideMembers of the "Stagecoach in Andover" Facebook group (can't share due to the group being private) showcases that the new Solo SRs have "Keeping Andover Connected" vinyl branding on them as they are now entering service.
It's lucky to carry more than 4...Has anyone seen the newish Brighton to Eastbourne 701, is it doing well or struggling to compete with the established operator?

Surrey Connect, particularly in Cranleigh, is already exceptionally busy. I'm worried about the impact the passengers from the withdrawn routes might have, I'm not sure Surrey Connect have the vehicles to handle it currently. And I understand their contract is moving to a new minibus company soon too.A number of Stagecoach South’s 500-series Surrey village routes is going up for withdrawal from the end of August with the widespread introduction of Surrey County Council’s DDRT service. This comes in addition with Carlone Buses’ own 500-series routes also being withdrawn. Details are as follows: https://www.stagecoachbus.com/servi...rticle?SituationId=ID-10/05/2023-09:13:08:546
Stagecoach South’s Aldershot division is also wounding up the 412 school route to All Hallows due to its financial unviability, not least due to the immense dead running required to start or terminate buses at Bracknell. A replacement is yet to be announced: https://www.stagecoachbus.com/servi...rticle?SituationId=ID-01/07/2024-12:58:06:902
School service route 74 for Weydon School changes for the next school year, with it no longer serving Lower Bourne and extending to serve Farnham Hospital from the station via the town centre: https://www.stagecoachbus.com/servi...rticle?SituationId=ID-04/07/2024-14:37:35:821
Not reintroduced - it's brand new.Stagecoach South East’s coastal bus route 500 has been reintroduced for the summer, running until 31 August between Ashford, Lydd and Camber Sands.

My apologies, I've heard conversations that Stagecoach ran open toppers in the South East area, but unsure if the 500 was a reprise of that. Not reintroduced - it's brand new.

I seem to recall there was a modification made to the "Victoria Arch" railway bridge in Woking which meant that double deckers could no longer fit under it. I don't have any further details but perhaps others in the know would be able to expand on this.1: Why aren't there any double deckers at Woking. The bridges are fine as Arriva operated DAF ALX 400's on the 34/35.
Alright, thanks!I seem to recall there was a modification made to the "Victoria Arch" railway bridge in Woking which meant that double deckers could no longer fit under it. I don't have any further details but perhaps others in the know would be able to expand on this.
I too remember when Arriva used to operate ALX 400s and Volvo Olympians on the 34/35, but that was years ago. In recent years it has been mostly Mercedes-Benz Citaros, Enviro 200s and Optare Versas.
Not to my knowledge. No idea if you've heard something specific but I see no reason why any would be arriving.2: Are there Enviro 300CNG's coming over?
There were no physical changes made to the 'Victoria Arch' road bridge (low height 'deckers used to use it) but a few years ago the powers that be reduced the official height limit, having said that, the road surface under the bridge at the moment is 'well worn' - well overdue re-surfacing.I seem to recall there was a modification made to the "Victoria Arch" railway bridge in Woking which meant that double deckers could no longer fit under it. It is believed that the whole scheme is cancelled or at least 'deferred' - Woking Borough Council is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, the block of shops immediately to the south of Victoria Arch has been demolished to allow road widening/reconfiguring, I am unclear who was funding what, I imagine Network Rail must have been involved with the reconstruction of the rail overbridge element of the Victoria Arch project.I believe a plan was in place to alter the roadway under the Victoria Arch, including lowering the road itself to accommodate taller vehicles. This however has been in discussion for a few years now, and I don't think works will commence for a while just yet.
From Sunday 1 September there'll be a change to the bus network in Hastings. Some route numbers will change and there'll be new timetables for many of the town services. These changes will help make bus services more reliable.
Minor correction - renumbered 329 - there is already a 349, which is the Hastings - Bodiam - Hawkhurst service.Route 29 (Hastings-Tenterden) renumbered 349 and reduced to three a day on weekdays, down from the current five trips. (still 4 on Sundays)
Good to see the 31 will be split into two. Bolting the Harley Shute section onto the Ore service never worked, and there were entire days when the bulk of services were curtailed at the station due to poor running.Changes in Hastings from 1 September:

Ah, that's good.48145 just hasn't been delivered yet, nothing sinister!
Someone suggested they were for a revived M2 service.Looks like Stagecoach South East have gained 6 (Soon to be 7) Megabus Plaxton Elite i coaches from Stagecoach Midlands. Unsure whether it's temporary or permanent but odd either way.
