By the looks of bustimes.org, Stagecoach South East have gained 4 very new E400MMCs from Manchester's Bee Network, having only been in service there for around 3 months.

I didn't see any vinyls on the trio of new ones I saw in Andover yesterday (135/138/140), unless they haven't received it yet. Looked quite nice inside

Has anyone seen the newish Brighton to Eastbourne 701, is it doing well or struggling to compete with the established operator?

It would appear that half of Aldershot’s Stagecoach Gold E400MMCs as well as some transfers from across the company have come to provide shuttle buses for the Farnborough Airshow this week, alongside Go Ahead London’s fleet. Of those within Stagecoach fleet, the following visitors made an appearance at somepoint this week at Farnborough:

Surrey Connect, particularly in Cranleigh, is already exceptionally busy. I'm worried about the impact the passengers from the withdrawn routes might have, I'm not sure Surrey Connect have the vehicles to handle it currently. And I understand their contract is moving to a new minibus company soon too.

My apologies, I've heard conversations that Stagecoach ran open toppers in the South East area, but unsure if the 500 was a reprise of that.
In other (more accurate) news, Stagecoach South's flagship 34 and 35 routes are to face positive changes as the 34 is to have Monday-Saturday frequencies increased to 20 minutes, with revised timings and routings for the 35 to run later last buses that are extended from Mayford to Guildford. Lots of changes to occur throughout the Stagecoach South network in anticipation of September changes. Increased frequencies have become the norm, though some listed have also been diverted and sections partially replaced by other routes.

Got a few questions that need answering.
1: Why aren't there any double deckers at Woking. The bridges are fine as Arriva operated DAF ALX 400's on the 34/35.
2: Are there Enviro 300CNG's coming over?

I seem to recall there was a modification made to the "Victoria Arch" railway bridge in Woking which meant that double deckers could no longer fit under it. I don't have any further details but perhaps others in the know would be able to expand on this.
I too remember when Arriva used to operate ALX 400s and Volvo Olympians on the 34/35, but that was years ago. In recent years it has been mostly Mercedes-Benz Citaros, Enviro 200s and Optare Versas.

Not to my knowledge. No idea if you've heard something specific but I see no reason why any would be arriving.
There were no physical changes made to the 'Victoria Arch' road bridge (low height 'deckers used to use it) but a few years ago the powers that be reduced the official height limit, having said that, the road surface under the bridge at the moment is 'well worn' - well overdue re-surfacing.
If you are wondering why I mention it, well a few years ago a car transporter went under a 15ft+bridge in Guildford (i.e plenty of clearance) but the front wheels went over something in the road causing a suspension bounce and a car on top hit the bottom of the bridge
In theory there is nothing to stop 'deckers operating the 91 (they did so not too long ago) just the matter of how they get to and from Peasmarsh.
The London and South Western Railway or (I think originally the London & Southampton? railway) was one of the earliest lines built, 1830 something and most of the bridges under the railway built in that time cannot accomodate double deckers.
I believe a plan was in place to alter the roadway under the Victoria Arch, including lowering the road itself to accommodate taller vehicles. This however has been in discussion for a few years now, and I don't think works will commence for a while just yet.
It is believed that the whole scheme is cancelled or at least 'deferred' - Woking Borough Council is teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, the block of shops immediately to the south of Victoria Arch has been demolished to allow road widening/reconfiguring, I am unclear who was funding what, I imagine Network Rail must have been involved with the reconstruction of the rail overbridge element of the Victoria Arch project.
The road on the north side has been rebuilt in conjunction with the Shopping centre extension, so you have 2 lanes southbound going down to one under the bridge, albeit that a road junction/traffic lights slows things down.
Walking under the bridge is a pretty unpleasant experience, traffic fumes are bad with heavy lorries thundering past the narrow pavements.

Minor correction - renumbered 329 - there is already a 349, which is the Hastings - Bodiam - Hawkhurst service.
This has been on the cards for a little while (and earlier Kent County document suggested withdrawal north of Northiam completely) - it appears passenger usage on that "Kent" section is very low, at least compared to the partially interworked service 312 to Rye.

Suprised this hasn't been mentioned, but Dover gained 6 new Switch / Optare Solo SRs for use on the local routes around Dover and Deal.
Numbers are 48144 and 48146-48150.
There is no 48145 for some unbeknownst reason but who knows!

Good to see the 31 will be split into two. Bolting the Harley Shute section onto the Ore service never worked, and there were entire days when the bulk of services were curtailed at the station due to poor running.

Shame that the remaining links between Stockbridge & Andover are getting the axe, I can remember when I was doing my GCSEs when it was hourly and went via the Wallops. But like the link between Winchester & Whitchurch things get cut back as the buses serving Winchester towards Sutton Scotney will go on to serve Andover rather than Whitchurch.

Looks like Stagecoach South East have gained 6 (Soon to be 7) Megabus Plaxton Elite i coaches from Stagecoach Midlands. Unsure whether it's temporary or permanent but odd either way.
Someone suggested they were for a revived M2 service.
With the Winkworth Wentworth bus shuttles being covered by Stagecoach this week, three E400MMCs have come down from Lancashire to Aldershot for these shuttles, these being 11151/11152 (Morecambe) and 11644 (Preston). Andover's 48141 is also operating shuttles.
