Sorry if it's been answered earlier but do we have a final withdrawal date for these yet and given that I live in Scotland but would love a final ride will it be worth my while popping down to Wales now travel restrictions are easing

Nothing announced yet but as things are at the moment they must be withdrawn by the end of May when the current dispensation ends. I wouldn't leave it after May 15th though when the current Timetable finishes, these dates being a regular target.

Yes, regularly on the Valley lines, mostly on Treherbert / Aberdare / Merthyr Tydfil to Barry Island / Bridgend (via Vale of Glamorgan) services.
There were 4 out today:
607 with 150 285,
609 with 150 256,
616 with 150 253. and
622 with 150 242.
601 was stabled at Treherbert and 602 and 625 were on Canton with one other not identified.

They run set diagrams. They are on post number 31 in this thread, however, since lockdown the ones on Penarth line diagrams seem.to have been replaced by 153s but Diagrams 104-108 listed should still happen. I will double check tomorrow though when they appear on Genius.

I'm not saying whether definite or not but just a hunch of the possibility of one less from this week as a third 769 service Diagram is planned to start tomorrow
Looks like there has actually been an extra 143 diagram added with 5 out today, all are showing as Pacer diagrams so should be about every day barring any substitutes.

Appreciate this 12:43 seems to be the service ill be likely to ride on judging by the time the Manchester service arrives at Cardiff

There are Engineering alterations taking place north of Radyr every Sunday to Thursday night in connection with the Metro construction and apply throughout the Timetable rather than STP. Thanks for this Post

Slightly OT but there's no particular thread for this. But I'm guessing that if the Pacers are fully withdrawn by 31st May, and all of the 769s are in passenger service covering all diagrams on Penarth - Rhymney, that all other Valleys services (e.g. Bridgend - Barry/Barry Island - Cardiff - Pontypridd - Treherbert/Aberdare/Merthyr Tydfil) will be double 150s?
Maybe the Caerphilly - Cardiff Bay and Pontypridd - Cardiff Bay shuttles, if still in operation after the May TT change, will still be single 150s, and Coryton - Radyr a 150 or double 153s.

I was over there today (and couldn't believe how many other bashers I saw out) and was shocked at how quiet the bay shuttles were. They are essentially relief trains for the core part of each branch (i.e to Ponty / Caerphilly ) but not well used.
I also noted, strangley some had mismatched platforms at Queen Street planned, i.e a Caerphilly using 5 and a Ponty using 4, for no obvious reason except to confuse the hell out of the punters.
Back on topic, it seems very up in the air if the derogation will be extended. I think during the day today 3 x 769s dropped ouit (one passenger circuit was part caped/delayed/short formed to provide a unit for the crew trainer!
Current Monday-Friday workings from what is above. I have for simplicity not included the changes caused by the evening works north of Radyr. *NOT ALL STATIONS SHOWN NORTH OF PONTYPRIDD*

I was lucky last week as there was a 143 out Thursday evening operating Bargoed-Penarth services which is not part of the current plan. Class 143 143602 is seen at Bargeod with 2P68 1846 Bargoed to Penarth and then ready to operate 2D20 2007 Penarth to Bargoed. 29th April 2021.
