could'nt have peoples ears bleeding on the last day with its fan and newly developed turbo squealShame that 701 wasn't out for the full last day of the Volvos

True, it was the last one I needed to get on for the villager service, thoughcould'nt have peoples ears bleeding on the last day with its fan and newly developed turbo squeal
It was the last branded villager volvo i took out of depot so it has that for me but 702 looks to be the last branded villager volvo i will drive in service. As said before i will miss them but by god were they knackered and dire need of either a full refurbushment or replacement which the latter has happened.True, it was the last one I needed to get on for the villager service, though. I heard it returning to the depot last Sunday and I was across the road from the depot and didn't even need to look to see what vehicle it was. Hope to get on it soon though.
Well, H1 732 never came back after it's incident, so maybe that will be one for the SwiftWill definitely need two for the frequency uplift. Which two they are is anyone's guess
Swift of course is a bus route between Derby and AshbourneWell, H1 732 never came back after it's incident, so maybe that will be one for the Swift
Yeah having got on them the past week, they are really nice vehicles just a shame that they haven't had much love over the past few years. It was the last branded villager volvo i took out of depot so it has that for me but 702 looks to be the last branded villager volvo i will drive in service. You say that I definitely think its getting rebranded. As well 850 was at Langley/Derby last Saturday then I saw it out of service driving into the bus station on the Sunday morning not having been in service since last Saturday night. Could this be getting rebranded for the sixes (Derby to Belper, Matlock/Wirksworth/Bakewell and Ripley) to replace 841?Well, H1 732 never came back after it's incident, so maybe that will be one for the Swift
Maybe they need a reliable bus for the Allestree bus service. One wonders if it has actually run since the 19.00 ex Derby.Yeah having got on them the past week, they are really nice vehicles just a shame that they haven't had much love over the past few years.

It should be 268 doing the runs however it appears to have broken down/stopped tracking just after 8amMaybe they need a reliable bus for the Allestree bus service. One wonders if it has actually run since the 19.00 ex Derby.
Doubt it will be the last there will be the spare volvos which might cover it from time to time. But yeah probably the last branded volvo to be on it740 may be the last Volvo to run on the villager (Derby - Burton via the villages). Currently on the route is Mickleover branded 101! Here it is coming out of Hilton towards Hatton.
268 broken down? Surely not. Not long had a new engine. They are all really reliableIt should be 268 doing the runs however it appears to have broken down/stopped tracking just after 8am

No, 268 broke down Friday morning....268 broken down? Surely not. Not long had a new engine. They are all really reliable![]()
Oh yeah I was flipping through bus times and i didn't realise the date. I guess technically there shouldn't be a bus diagram out right now then. You would of thought they would put one out to cover268 broken down? Surely not. Not long had a new engine. They are all really reliable

More or less knackered than 669 I rode today, with absolutely no suspension and shaking at every opportunity, making a very uncomfortable ride which I didn't think I'd say about a Scania Wright Solar!by god were they knackered and dire need of either a full refurbushment or replacement which the latter has happened.
I would presume something has a broken ticket machine, as its not like trentbarton to not run something when they are actually able to.Maybe they need a reliable bus for the Allestree bus service. One wonders if it has actually run since the 19.00 ex Derby.
I guess one would only find out, if anyone was waiting for it and says anything.More or less knackered than 669 I rode today, with absolutely no suspension and shaking at every opportunity, making a very uncomfortable ride which I didn't think I'd say about a Scania Wright Solar!

Could be the case, but they did also put 480 on red arrow (derby to nottingham express) so anything can happen. Hugo isn't saying if they are cancelled just that the gps signal isn't working so might be likelyI would presume something has a broken ticket machine, as its not like trentbarton to not run something when they are actually able to.
Maybe if the new ADL Enviros were the same colour, people wouldn't noticeWith the passing mention of 101 (no pun intended), is there any reason that the new Enviros for the Mickleover route are going back to the burgundy colour it had when Volvos were running up and down it?
I think regulars would though. I got on two of them earlier and they had no skylights along with many other features the new ones will have (like tinted glass) which the current batch do. Some probably wouldn't notice though.Maybe if the new ADL Enviros were the same colour, people wouldn't notice
The roadside timetable displays have had skylights on them for some years. The buses haven'tI think regulars would though. That's exactly what I was told by a member of the Trentbarton marketing team.Maybe if the new ADL Enviros were the same colour, people wouldn't notice
Even the new Ilkeston Flyers (bus service) appear to be different colours to the existing buses. That's exactly what I was told by a member of the Trentbarton marketing team.
I looks much better than the current pink in my opinion. It makes sense to refresh the brand if its getting new buses, plus people would notice moreWith the passing mention of 101 (no pun intended), is there any reason that the new Enviros for the Mickleover route are going back to the burgundy colour it had when Volvos were running up and down it?
It's a good job you clarified, as I thought you were on about the other Ilkeston FlyerEven the new Ilkeston Flyers (bus service) appear to be different colours to the existing buses.
I really like the branding too, the villager branding on the busses (with the animals and location in the circle) clearly shows that the liverys have been thought about and weren't a quick job and that research has been done into the services and where they travel throughJokes aside I'm very impressed with the aesthetic of the ADLs for that service, and I'm actually looking forward to commuting on them, which is something I wouldn't usually say about ADLs!
Trentbarton are still the 'above average' bus company, and little improvements may make them 'really good' again.I really like the branding too, the villager branding on the busses (with the animals and location in the circle) clearly shows that the liverys have been thought about and weren't a quick job and that research has been done into the services and where they travel through
Maybe so. But when one of the few routes (red arrow) that have should have wifi currently only have 3 vehicles with wifi working (80, 83 and 87). If all 9 coaches got working wifi again I might be slightly more inclined to think that way especially since its got a premium price to travel on it.Trentbarton are still the 'above average' bus company, and little improvements may make them 'really good' again.
Will Trent keep buying e200s till they make up the whole fleet? They're replacing e200s with e200s at this point...
Evora buses are the absolute best I've ever ridden, and they would suit trentbarton pretty well.It was previously noted they had looked at the Volvo B8RLE/MCV Evora combination but the lead times were too long. Perhaps we could see some in the future though, I could particularly see a batch for the Skylink routes being suitable as more ‘heavy-duty’ replacements for the E200s on there.
In a few years, one might think diesel buses will not be able to be purchased. Okay, they tried to get funding for hydrogen buses, but now we are starting to see operators fund a greater share of the cost (indeed I think West Midlands are totally funding their next electric buses, circa 150).Will Trent keep buying e200s till they make up the whole fleet? Chassis built in Europe, body built in Egypt. Only negative I heard about the EvoRa, was ply floors going rotten after 5 years. Haven't they heard of marine ply?Evora buses are the absolute best I've ever ridden, and they would suit trentbarton pretty well.
They are perfect for hills, so would be great for the Sixes (and transpeak!).
You never know, there was be lots of Ilkeston Flyer services, all over the World, so it is best to be specific.I looks much better than the current pink in my opinion. It makes sense to refresh the brand if its getting new buses, plus people would notice more

Some of the H1s and Mickleovers have arrived at Langley Mill too so I should think their relaunches will be fairly soon
Looks like they all have had a go on the route todayThe New E200s have entered service today on the villager bus route
