And what a stunning batch they were, too on that route. Then again I'm a bit biased...
I rode Citaros on the 9 last year when travelling to Nottingham for exams. The seats are quite nice... it's a pity that they soon couldn't keep them running.

I'd expect 906 would be withdrawn as well. With only one left, it's very much a non-standard type in the Wellglade fleet, so it's upkeep doesn't have the economies of scale of, say, the Eclipses.

Yes, I always like sitting on the sideways seats towards the back!
High Peak (owned 50% by Wellgrade) have a few Citaros but nearly all are ex-Yourbus, would be nice for it to be transferred/sold there if possible.

I suspect High Peak might welcome Citaros for spares, if they are compatible. I was told driver trainer 803 was withdrawn to get 809 back on the road

Yes MOT runs out 16th November so got try ride it last time before then incase they decide not to renew.

Yes reminds me of the scanias only at the front which I always used to sit on.
Would been nice to see them all pass down to highpeak as they also use the citaro O530 so could probably kept them all running quiet easily although as u say 906 is getting old and idk if because they both use O530 means it's compatible or not but I'm sure there's parts that would be the same

Talking about trents highpeak operation, could be wrong but I think I saw somewhere a while ago mabey a different forum about when trent was recieving optares, that they brought some for highpeak since it's a 50/50 operation. If true have they done anything for them since?

Surely High Peak is part Wellglade owned, not Trent. Effectively both are subsidiaries. I understand High Peak have a couple more slim Solos due next year, along with some EvoRas.

High Peak is owned 50/50 by Centrebus and Wellglade but all operations and vehicle issues are handled by Centrebus.

So what does Wellglade actually do then in the partnership?

Not sure but quite possibly nothing. They own 50% and there Is probably a management charge from Centrebus to cover central overhead costs. Any profits would then be split in proportion to the shareholding.

Same with their former 6% shareholding in Leicester Citybus LTD (First Leicester) they weren't involved in the day to day running.

So what do Wellglade actually do in regards to the highpeak operation. Obviously centrebus does the majority such as management as it is ran like any other centrebus depot and they all carry centrebus liverys exception of specific branded services so does anyone know what do Wellglade help with and do they actually attend board meeting ect?

In other news.. any news on when the keyworth is expected to increase frequency?

Also any news on where 105/6 will be going or painted into as 101-4 are at blackburn presumably for luggage rails for skylink so what would 105/6 be for as they are sat at Langley mill awaiting repaint (picture below)? Spares??

Maybe it isnt... The page on trents site has disappeared for some reason so it might mean they aren't doing it, or the page disappears automatically.

I think they are prioritsing some other vehicles at the moment. Ex ilkeston flyers to X38's and 74 (apparently being repainted). Not to mention Langley are probably trying to get some of their fleet back on the road with most of the b8s throwing a hissy and not being on the road for a few weeks some.

Yes, I have not seen any reports of ex Ilkeston Flyers since 720...

Of course they'll attend board meetings, as they own 50% of the shares. They'll also be able to vote on business decisions, receive revenue and invest into their shares. Just because they don't use their brand it wouldn't mean they're not doing anything

Put on the backburner now, so may not happen at all

How come the 66 plate E200's are destined for the Skylink? Skyline Not'm has 67 plates and Derby has mostly 20 plates.

Why are they bothering refurbishing the ex-Ilkeston Flyer Volvos when the ex-H1's they have currently do the job fine on the X38?
The ex-h1s and the older liveried x38 aren't permanent. It was always clear through trents social medias that they were going to be changing again. With the older x38 livery (742/745) both, in my opinion, looking like an arriva influenced livery. No doubt to create less confusion between the two operators, also evident by trent not putting the tb logo on the front below the windscreen which is pretty common on nearly all their other volvos. 742/745 are also very internally knackered. The seats are uncomfortable since the padding has worn down, the usb's are...like usual broken from vandalism and such. 726/732/3/4 just havent been altered except for having some decals on the outside so they would need refurbishing anyway. So they might as well refresh the brand completely with new liverys complete all at once. Also the FN matching up will help since the current x38 branded fleet are quite sporadic

Not to replace, there's nowhere near enough for that. They'd just boost capacity on what is a very popular route.
Are all 6 planned to go to Kinchbus for the Derby service then?
Hopefully the demand is maintained when the £2 price cap gets watered down. Going from Leicester to Derby for £2 was probably the best trip I ever made by bus.

For a route with competition, being a bit more cost conscious would make sense.
Not always. Customers might see investment in a new look for the fleet and want to try the product out. If you look at the new mmcs, all of them have had a redesign of such. Being cost conscious could cost them more in the long run if they dont invest

No, if they were planning on sending all 6 to kinchbus they would have sent all 6 off to be refurbished. They might not even be getting luggage racks fitted at blackburn bus & coach.

Yeah fair enough, still much better than Arriva's offering though. Watch them come out with a bright red livery for the X38 :D.
