Perez will be starting on the Softs unlike Hamilton and Verstappen. I think he’ll have to try beating Hamilton off the line, otherwise he’ll get done by the other two needing one fewer stop.

Red Bull are basically fighting two races both of which depend on Lewis having a poor start. Perez needs to get out front and build up a pit stop sized lead, and Max needs be in front of Hamilton in the first stint.

Fortunately they aren't incompatible strategies.
It will be a good fight for the win, I hope.

at the end of the high and low roads
gear box split in half apparently!
Not such a good advert for the 'Made in Italy' GP (who comes up with these daft names...), always assuming that the gearbox was actually made in Italy?

EDIT:
According to this article quoting Franz Tost it appears the gearbox is designed by Red Bull, though where it's actually manufactured isn't clear.
Tost confirmed that as a result of the rule changes allowing more sharing of certain specified parts of a car's design, the co-operation between his squad and Red Bull would increase in 2021.

“We will get also next year the front suspension, rear suspension, the gearbox and the hydraulics," he acknowledged.

Ahead of this afternoon's tight affair at Imola, Miami has been announced for 2022, with a Circuit around the Hard Rock Stadium for 10 years!
Hmm. A F1 track in the car park of an American tourist attraction. That's worked well in the past...

well hang on - bit of rain. Could make it interesting, until Hamilton wins ;)

Also: Standby to deploy the car of safety to the first corner

I will look forward to seeing the highlights on Channel 4. Have to mute most of it mind due to the welsh T4 idiot they have presenting it. Does my head in.
I didn’t see the race, I listened to it on the radio. I can’t wait to watch it.

Depending on your conscience, there are a number of streams available online that show the race live.

Hamilton will win unless the car fails.

Cracking race. Verstappen and Hamilton are in a class of their own. Hope that Perez and Bottas can bounce back or else the 2022 silly season is going to be very interesting.

I’ve started to do that, and it is better, although only for the build up and reaction.
I only watch the actual race myself... the subtitles do help with that as there's a lot that the on screen graphics don't cover. I do with they'd move the live positions graphic to the right of the screen, though - the subtitles tend to cover the first three at the top of the graphic...

To be honest there are times I wish commentary could be optional at certain points of the race.

I find the radio 5 commentary better. Less hype and more detail.

My take on the race: A slow pit stop ( 4 seconds. Slow! ffs!) and a rare personal error cost Hamilton the race. Verstappen did well but Hamilton battling back to second or Lando Norissian getting third was more impressive

Depending on the device you're watching on, there may be an option to adjust the position of the subtitles. So you can get it to cover up something even more important. :)
