Here's tonight's move. Different camera again, still not impressed. Hopefully gonna go 4k tomorrow!
Yes it was around 5 minutes or so early at south acton with 66722 on front with 73107 442418 442420 73128 on rear. Two more to shift 2415 and 2418 (2422 went last night).
Today's working was an hour early at Kew. Wonder how long it'll go into the "Black Hole" at Eastleigh for this evening?
Didn't recess at Eastleigh, so ran in its correct path. Same locos as last night.
Looks like it's 2418 for removal this evening.
The up train (BM - Wolverton) will have x2 442 (2415 + 2420).sadly ill miss the down run (i assume that will have 2 442s) but will try and catch the up run to bournemouth
The up train (BM - Wolverton) will have x2 442 (2415 + 2420).
The down train (EH - BM) will have one 442 (2420).
It is sad shame though with 66722 on front with 442415 442420 and 73108 on the rear once more.Well, that's that done then.
Was a nice abrupt end to down tools on site and stop work on these. As nice as the interiors were, they were a complete bag of bolts by the time they're leaving, too many years of "that'll do".
Sadly no it went with 442419 on the 27th may 2021.Is 2410 still at Eastleigh?
We are happy to be able to announce that we have been granted ownership of 77382, the A end DTS (Driving Trailer Standard) from 442 401. This item is designated under the Railway Heritage Act 1996, and is being transferred from Angel Trains to ourselves for preservation. We would like to thank the Science Museum Group, Railway Heritage Designation Advisory Board for accepting our bid. We would also like to express our thanks once again to Arlington Fleet Group for their support and assistance.
There will be further details posted soon.
News this evening that one of the DTS from unit 2401 has officially been preserved and won’t be getting chopped.
1986 Tube Stock.would be nice to save a motor coach, due to their unique ness, is there any other train that has been built/looked quite modern but has used older technology/running gear in its build ?

The Class 424 "Networker Classic", which was pretty much a converted 4CIG driving trailer unit.is there any other train that has been built/looked quite modern but has used older technology/running gear in its build ?
Have all of the ex SWR 442 carriages now departed Wolverton for scrapping or do some still exist there?
