Isn't it time something was done with CrossCountry?

Then perhaps they should start electrifying lines rather than building new ones. --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Or get rid of the first class coach!

Isn't it time something was done with CrossCountry?

Who pays? The Government of course! They seem to be able to just say 'Yep we'll spend Billions of pounds on some rail link that only benefits the wealthy!' And, yes the voyagers are reliable yet that doesn't stop the operator from being extremely unreliable

Isn't it time something was done with CrossCountry?

When travelling on CrossCountry, you often climb aboard a cramped class 220 or 221 which smells, is unclean and extremely busy. Instead of wasting money on things such as HS2, why aren't the DFT awarding more trains or coaches to CrossCountry to relieve such busy routes? On a service from...

    Crosscountry franchise

All I've seen are de - provements (If that's a word or, whatever). They've got rid of the quiet coach, cut services, made trains shorter, and so on. The trains are always untidy, overcrowded and smelly. It's time the crosscountry franchise was given more trains and longer ones.

Cheap tickets to London from Southampton.

The savings keep rolling in! --- old post above --- --- new post below --- Just checked and the Super off peak day return ticket allows you to travel anytime whereas the Day save is at more awkward times. So, if you want to travel whenever it might be worth upgrading your ticket.

To get to London from Southampton with South west trains, as a family of four (2 adults, 2 children) can be very expensive. With an Off peak day return costing £125.70 even when booked in advance! With the quickest journey being 68 minutes long. To get to London from Southampton with...

Disruption on Southern's mainline due to a fatality [28/05]

Indeed there was. I was on the 16:59 FGW Bristol service from Brighton to Southampton and when we stopped at Chichester the Guard told the train manager there was a fatality. Thankfully our train was not delayed however services to London Victoria, Brighton etc. were delayed. My deepest...

First class travel.. Cheap or expensive?

As you have probably heard a lot of people say, it depends. For example, if you decided to book a single ticket to Edinburgh from London Kings cross, first class and booked in advance... It would be £75. And if you had a 16 - 25 railcard it would be £47, which is very good value compared to the...

What made the West Midlands so special in terms of stock?

Some old units are extremely reliable in terms of running standards, they just need to be refurbishes to a good standard and cleaned. I'll admit, the Pacers Northern use need to be gotten rid of because they're not reliable and not crash worthy.
