Bit of 458 centre coach action in the background there too!

Do we know where 43024 ended up? It was sighted on a low loader in Gateshead in mid-December

Haymarket to donate its cab.

So they sent 43185 to the scrapyard with its cab on (the cab was removed at the scrapyard and photographed on a lorry in England somewhere), and they have two ex-LNER power cars for spares, but they still need another one to provide a cab?

Can depend on a number of factors, including what condition it was in (185 has had a few bumps over time), and that 024 will provide more spares.

You also have to remember that 185 was sold to Brodies with its cab on so that would have been down to them to sell back to ScotRail.

I know ownership has transferred to Brodies, but that was solely for them to use in repairing Scotrail power cars...

I believe that Scotrail also own two ex-Angel / LNER power cars which are at Loughborough and were used as parts donors for the power cars sent there for repair, so it's not clear why they couldn't have used one of those.

It’s not just about cabs, though. Plenty of other components too.

Well, that’s a question for Brodies / Angel Trains and Romic to answer for.

Either way, both 43305 and 43367 are back at Ely from their trips to UKRL at Loughborough. Still complete and with cabs attached.

Was it Romic who acquired the cab from 43185, then? I assumed it might have been but not seen it stated anywhere.

43206 reported as having made the same journey as 43029 from Ely to EMR, Kingsbury earlier this week. Both have been completely stripped for spares by Romic.

Surprised the cab is still on 43029 - would have thought that would be a useful spare as well as all the internal bits. Possibly the bogies too.

Hi all! Random Question what is the status of Class 43290, being that specific because a Train driver posted on 'X' of him being Photographed in 43290 Back in 2013 with LNER and just very curious where it is now and if any recent Photos of Class 43290.
Thank you :)

Scrapped I believe, there's a photo of it on a lorry on Flickr dated 16/7/24 after component recovery, the poster thinks it was on its way to Colwick for further parts removal

43238, 43312 & 43319 were moved from Dereham to Nemesis Rail "for repairs" yesterday.

I believe Mk3 carriage 10551 was in the consist that was hauled by 50008 as well

That’ll be reactivation for 238 / 319 and possibly 312 for ROMIC.
