Any news on the first ones to go to the chop?(non accident damaged ones)
I guess the more damaged Carmont victim of the pair is chronologically the next disposal. How about the other ? But there are presumably "christmas trees" which will never now come back. The recent Long Marston-Laira move presumably currently contains power cars which could return to active service, but maybe they have tired bogies and are planned to donate components then be withdrawn and cut up.

I happened to be at Locomotion today, here's 43102 outside the museum. The air system was still ticking away.

Could somebody give an update regarding the status of 43046 (East Midlands) and 43079 (GWR - former Landore?) power cars please, as I am doing an audit of what has gone and what still remains of all classes?
43046 is now with LSL for the Midland Pullman with 43055.

This is what I have for the rest of the former EMR power cars. 43047 left Burton this afternoon apparently on the way to LSL.

43251, 257, 274, 300 are withdrawn but still at Neville Hill.
43045, 060 are at Derby RTC with Colas Rail on test trains.
43290, 299 is being used on the NMT with Network Rail branding.
43050, 052, 054, 066, 076 are at Leicester (D.A.T.S).
43044, 048, 089 are now part of the 125 Group.
43046, 047, 055, 058, 059, 083 are now with LSL
43043, 049, 064, 073, 081, 082, 272, 277 are now at Burton West Yard.
43238, 295, 305, 306, 309, 310, 314, 316, 318, 319, 320 are at Ely
43465, 468, 480, 484 are with Rail Adventure at Eastleigh
43296, 308, 423, 467 are with Rail Adventure at Willesden
43307, 317 are at Barrow Hill
43102 is now with the NRM at Shildon

Thanks for the list "43055"
Can I guess that the Colas pair you show at Derby were the ones that sat at Reading for a couple of months ?

Cheers

Not a disposal as such, but as per the 43044 thread, Speed Record Holder Power Car No.2 43159 has also now entered preservation with the 125 Group, thanks to Porterbrook.

I don't think any PCs have actually been disposed of yet apart from the accident damaged examples. Many of those not in use with Hanson & Hall, Network Rail, XC or ScotRail are in store at Ely, while several preserved examples are with the HST group, NRM, Hornby and at Crewe Heritage Centre

Only 4 43s have actually been scrapped so far. The ratio of 43s to surviving Mk3s must be very high now.

Maybe 43s could top and tail the Intercity Mk1 set as often happens on my model railway :D

4 including one of the prototypes, I think! (the three production ones all being years back, due to accident damage). A number are being stripped for parts and are pretty certain to never run again.

Porterbrook have disposed of nearly all their Mk3s now (most for scrap). Angel have scrapped quite a few but still have some in store at Ely.

4 excluding one of the prototypes: 43011/019/140/173 all scrapped.

Southall
Ladbroke Grove
Ufton Nervet
Carmont/Stonehaven

So 4 production ones plus a prototype. But yes others will be gone come the end of the year.

Has 43140 (Stonehaven one) actually been scrapped, and if so where? Last mention I saw was that it and the coaches were being stored until the enquiry was complete - that may not have been correct, of course.

43140 and all four trailers from HA22 were moved to J.R. Adam & Sons scrapyard in Glasgow during April.
