The E400s from Aberdeen coming back down once they get their Electroliners.
  • I know they have currently all been heading to Scotstoun, but with 33693 in use at Caley it may make sense to bring some there now as well.
The low height E400s are best remaining at Scotstoun for the service 6.
RATP cascades?
When First previously operated in London, substantial numbers of Double Deckers, most of which were converted to single door, were cascaded throughout the group and most of them had a very low lower-saloon capacity. Personally, I think it would be best if that didn’t happen again.

There is no obligation for First to take on any buses now unless they want to as they are leased, which was probably not the case in the past.

Most of the Geminis were supposed to be staying until all the hydrogen buses were back in service, which will probably be next year if the green hydrogen facility is not met with further delays.
They should at least swap 37546 with another Gemini in Glasgow so it can get a refurb.

Also, speaking of refurbs, one of the Eclipses has been repainted!

All buses that have been off the road for long periods of time that are still roadworthy are to be reinstated to alleviate the vehicle shortage as well as the service changes next Sunday for Dumbarton.
Shouldn’t this have always been the case

Is this across all depots? I still don't know why 33441's been on a big holiday.
According to bus times it’s been painted but there’s no evidence to support that. It’s a relatively modern bus to not be repaired so I’m imagining something major has happened.

One less 66 plate on the road isn't a bad thing. All of the ex-Lothian MMCs are horrible buses to drive - naff brakes, disintegrated steering wheels and fixed assault screens.

33442 doesn't have a fixed assault screen, the only one that doesn't.

Will Scotstoun still run some of the peak morning 1C services when the time table changes?

As the 5:58am & 6:19am are being changed to 5:55am & 6:19am.

38400 is back in Caley again. Not sure what the plan is with it

When do the routes normally get updated on Google Maps? The 1B is still showing as going to Helensburgh even when I scroll forward to e.g. 11th of March.

Scotstoun are running all of the 1C
So there’s a chance of double deckers returning to some workings? Nice.

Since the only time doubles worked on the route since the Gemini left Dumbarton were the 6:19am service I’ve mentioned (which becomes a 77), and a late night service (which comes off a 6A, before doing the 1C, then a 1D).
Though the 5:58am sometimes had an E400, since that working became a 6.

Probably find more E200EVs on the route.

How reliable are the electric E400s? Recently saw one failed in quite an awkward place and was wondering if it's a rarity or if they often fail in service.

Not sure, but probably just slightly better than the E200EVs. I have heard the new demonstrator on loan (38600) has been having issues.

38600 (FB74ZEB) has returned to ADL at Camelon along with all the other "seed" vehicles sent out to the other groups.
Software issues apparently limiting the charging ability of the battery.

They've been testing some of the Stagecoach batch and Transdevs order for the 36 service batch up and down to Aberdeenshire every couple of days 3 or 4 of each

Hopefully there’s a chance it will come back once the issues are sorted. I had the joy of travelling on one on the 38 - they’re nice buses from a passenger pov

There only is this one that has been used, no other ones that First have yet, Rest are the BYDs that they've always had
