That's good to hear - at least they won't be scrapped any time soon. It's a shame that more of the Mk3s couldn't have been saved. The ex GA Mk3's are now property of ROG, so will be back at Derby by now.

5E52 Derby - Ely ran today.
Technically they're owned by Electric Traction - ROG presumably hiring them. The ex GA Mk3's are now property of ROG, so will be back at Derby by now.

Five of the coaches were used by EMR until earlier this year - they weren't all EMR rejects.Good to finally see the end of the storage of these vehicles as they make their way for shredding; as they never had any further use (being rejected from the EMR programme) it always seemed very strange to spend money storing them.

When has the privatised railway ever not been wasteful, honestly?Which just goes to show how utterly wasteful the railways have been in the last year. A lot of money was spent on those ex LNER Mk3s when they transferred over to EMR including new suspension to finally rid them of the Pegasus stuff (bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy), only to in some cases find use with EMR for about 6 months. All rather sad.

Chances are, the next thing you'll see NL51 on is Ely Papworth Sidings to Newport Sims Metals...5L47 43317/07 NL51 (7)
Realtime Trains - 591R 1048 Neville Hill T&R.S.M.D to Ely Mlf Papworth Sidings
Can I confirm that this should have been vehicles 40748, 41120, 41150, 42091, 42150, 42154 and 44094?Most certainly is ie the ex set from Barrow hill which was also in store there from January 2021.
When stored due to covid 19.
Service reductions.
Should have been two power cars and 7 x nl 51 ex mk3 coaches.
Originally moved to Neville Hill approximately early to mid June.
Memory serves me correctly.
However somewhere are on YouTube there is a video also off this move going through Leeds station.
Either way has been at leeds Neville Hill for past 3 months are so.
As far as I know yes.Can I confirm that this should have been vehicles 40748, 41120, 41150, 42091, 42150, 42154 and 44094?
If so, I have 41120 as Porterbook owned with the remainder Angel - if that is correct, I guess we may see different onward disposal routes and/or times?
You can always look on Flickr. As far as I know yes.
However any further information from the non urgent enguiry thread would be beneficial.
As far as I know Neville Hill should be free off mk3 coaches hst.
Possibly two power cars still there.
But unsure.

41120 is Angel owned, that’s why it has gone to Ely. If it was Porterbrook’s it would have gone to Burton, then Long Marston with the rest of their vehicles. If so, I have 41120 as Porterbook owned with the remainder Angel - if that is correct, I guess we may see different onward disposal routes and/or times?

Here's an example I found posted - 43317 at Manea | Ex LNER Class 43 No.43317 with No.43307 on … | Flickr
Where has 41095 come from please?.Chaps, one more for the preserved list: 41095 - which has been purchased (and now delivered to) a private site. More to follow.
44015 can also be removed from the preserved list, as it has been purchased for a filming contract in Swansea, where it will likely be scrapped afterwards.
Porterbrook at Burton.Where has 41095 come from please?.
Thank you so that's come from nl58 which got moved to burton in may then.Porterbrook at Burton.
Please also add 40711 to the preserved list, as this has also now moved to the private site.

Reported as 57310 + 41120, 41150, 40748, 42091, 42150, 42154, 42407 and 42586. Barriers are 12180+10249Good morning all,
Does anybody know what stock is on the 5Q42 Ely Papworth to Newport Simms this morning. Just passed Foxton and I am guesssing it is Mk 3s for scrap. Many thanks.
It certainly has been a mixed week for the former Angel / EMT Short sets - One vehicle saved for private use (41207), one vehicle heading to the scrapyard with 42586 in the consist. The Grim Reaper keeps calling for the Lets Go Farewell set but it appears to have escaped another week.Reported as 57310 + 41120, 41150, 40748, 42091, 42150, 42154, 42407 and 42586.
