Pretty Cool, yet subtle.Lothian seem to have added a new feature for 466-495 on the app
I think this post is about 20 years too lateIf lothian placed an order for articulated buses would they probably be for the 30?

The A1 works beside Fort Kinnaird / Queen Margaret University are largely expected to allow a 30 re-route to avoid the low bridge so I doubt it.
They've played with artics in the past and they haven't caught on. They are expensive, rare and generally vilified by UK media so I wouldn't bank on it happening.

12 & 42 to be merged from what it looks like.
Oh no the 300 is being cancelled, who saw that one coming?
If the 12 is being extended to Portobello again will it potentially run via Seafield ahain?
There goes any chance of the 12 being extended back to Ratho. Possibly the 22 could be extended there.
As a local, every single 12 I travel on has mid-full loads. I was on one just a few minutes ago, many passengers onboard. It's by sheer luck you've experienced this service with nobody on it.There never seems to be anybody on the 12 whenever I use it and I'm sure that the fact that it terminates in the city centre in a rather strange place has a lot to do with this, not to mention it it's rather weird and wonderful root in the west but this I know is there for a reason as on some sections it's the only bus.
The registration has the route running via Haymarket.I bet it’ll be the entire 42 route, then from Craigleith to Western Corner via the 38 route before picking up the current 12 route to the Gyle Centre.

I would be surprised if they left the city centre to Sainsbury's section on serviced so watch this space. Can't say I'm particularly shocked that the 300 is going it's been coming for a while

I would think it will be changed to stop at PC instead, in line with the 41. So from Haymarket: HB, HD*, SB*, PC, GG, GK and MD towards King’s Road and then GP, GS, PX, SE, SG, HJ towards the Gyle.I wonder how it will behave in the town after it has served stop PE on Princes Street
If it’s where you said it is (Portobello), it will more than likely be buses being swapped between Marine and Musselburgh. There's been an awful lot of East Coast B8RLEs driving out of service this evening, including two out of service at Portobello going towards Musselburgh. Are there normally this many running empty? I got the impression from the timetable that most of the vehicles on the X7 turned into a 106 at Dunbar to get back to the garage, or overnighted at North Berwick.
Marine doesn't house any of the East Coast stock though does it?If it’s where you said it is (Portobello), it will more than likely be buses being swapped between Marine and Musselburgh.
Marine tends to store some buses overnight, at the weekend or for maintenance purposes.Marine doesn't house any of the East Coast stock though does it?
Ahhh okay, I didn't know that, thanks.Marine tends to store some buses overnight, at the weekend or for maintenance purposes.
This revised 12 will surely run as the current 12 route Gyle to George Street then as the 42 route from there to King’s Road and the same in reverse. I’d imagine the combined route will run from Marine with potentially the later evening service between Gyle and George Street withdrawn. Frequency I’d expect to reduce to every 30 minutes across the whole route. This was actually a change I suggested at random a few weeks back so it’s good to see they’re implementing it, a fluke of course.
As for the 300 we all know that’s been well overdue.
