I’ve bought them from Crewe and Manchester Airport, and they didn’t bat an eyelidNo it must be a Northern one. Oxford Road, Deansgate and Victoria are all Northern ticket offices

Yes, you can get two from the same day! This is what I usually doGreat. I have just got to buy the papers. Presumably not two from the same day.
Now to figure out a likely location. Maybe a newspaper stall at a London Terminus that could supply news to commuters travelling North. Or need to look for papers on a train arriving from the North.Yes, you can get two from the same day! This is what I usually do

I am assuming the Northern editions of mainstream papers are not generally on sale in London ?.
I assume therefore that the vouchers are published for the whole of the period the sale is on ?.Just buy the newspapers at the station you buy the rover at.
Northern Newspaper rovers are making a comeback.
Price is still £10, or £17.50 for a weekend.

Reach PLC: Collect two tokens between 10th Feb-23rd Feb, or 10th Feb-24th Feb, or 17th Feb-23rd Feb, depending on the newspaper.
National World: Collect three tokens between 10th Feb-1st March.
Travel from 10th Feb-20th March

Although the last time I tried to do that at Newcastle (admittedly quite late in the day), I was unsuccessful.Just buy the newspapers at the station you buy the rover at.
Stockport have issued the ticket previously.Rubbish. I've bought the £10 tickets from Piccadilly ticket office dozens of times.
They used to sell the MEN at Euston. Not sure if they still do.Thanks.
Now to acquire some copies of Northern Papers in London somehow.

No it dosen't. Even the notoriously difficult EMR office at Sheffield issues the tickets without quibble. No it must be a Northern one.
Any idea if they'd be available from Ormskirk?
And is it an off peak or anytime rover
You can get the ticket from any staffed station on the Northern network which includes York. I have bought these from York ticket office before. That might be very useful information for me.
I had planned on getting a North Country Rover for travel on Saturday 15th to Tuesday 18th Feb inclusive. I was going to buy it on arrival at York (from London) before continuing to Hartlepool on the Saturday afternoon. My plans are semi-flexible but I can't see I'd want to use any trains not operated by Northern, except between York and Thornaby or maybe Hartlepool on the Saturday.
So I'm now wondering if it would be considerably cheaper to take advantage of this offer instead.
If I bought six papers, presumably I could buy day tickets covering the Sunday, Monday and Tuesday? So £30 plus the cost of the single from York to Hartlepool and the newspapers, rather than £120?
Would it be a problem that the ticket office in York is LNER rather than Northern? Their website says "any staffed ticket office"... The ticket office at Hartlepool will be closed by the time I get there on Saturday afternoon and won't open again until Monday.

Two tokens per ticket with Reach newspapers, three with National World. Complete the form on the Northern website for each ticket.
Bear in mind that the £10 offer is weekdays. It’s £17.50 for a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) ticket.
HTH.

Annoying that the £10 one isn't available on a Sunday, but I can get the weekend one and still be quids in. If I can get a cheap TPE advance from York to Thornaby then I will, so I can at least use the promotional Northern ticket from there to Hartlepool!
I'll complete the forms in advance and get the newspapers when I get to York, then.

Jolly good, even better! You can get a £10 pound ticket for use on a Sunday.
Yeah looking at it the local rags in York seem to be neither Reach nor National World, and the northern editions of the national papers aren't participating until the following week. So I may have to resort to buying three Yorkshire Posts or something? I only need to buy Sunday's ticket on the Saturday. I'll be able to buy the others on Monday morning in Hexham, having had all day Sunday to collect the tokens.According to the Northern Rail website the Reach PLC ticket offer requires two tokens and the National World PLC offer requires three tokens for the same ticket.
