Well Gloucester depot certainly aren’t doing it... recently repainted 27707 didn’t receive the black headlight coversI believe it's meant to be standard, but some areas don't seem to be doing it

I believe it's meant to make all the fleet look like MMC's. A few early repaints tried that really hard, but with terrible results! Is there any particular reason why Cheltenham’s scania E300s are getting the black headlight covers on the new livery?
Well you were right! A batch of 21 Scania N250UD/ADL E40D MMCs are due, numbered 15350-15370.I've been told by many sources at Gloucester depot, some very senior that they were due to be Scanias. I may stand corrected although I highly doubt the information I was given was incorrect as they are "in the know" with all things at Gloucester depot
Sounds good. I guess they will see off the older ones on the Forest routes and perhaps the 71?Well you were right! A batch of 21 Scania N250UD/ADL E40D MMCs are due, numbered 15350-15370.

Perhaps but I don't know the PVR of the 10.Wouldn’t it be more likely to be for the 10 where the 2012 Gold e400s are plying their trade?
The vehicles are listed on a site called Bus Lists on the Web.Is there a link for the order confirmation?
Thanks for that, when is the expected delivery date or is it unknown? The vehicles are listed on a site called Bus Lists on the Web.

Rachel Geliamassi, Managing Director of Stagecoach West including Oxfordshire commented when I asked her for her thoughts.
"Yes we are very pleased to have such a great fleet of new buses coming to us. They will cover the Gloucester - Cheltenham corridor on the service 10."
It was a hunch. The 10 has long been one of Gloucester depots best routes which is why it got the Gold deckers (and the virtually new 55 plate Tridents). However, they are getting on so hence why I guessed that these new ones might be for the 10.The Oxford Chiltern bus site confirms that they're for the 10. https://www.oxford-chiltern-bus-page.co.uk/Weekly nr 153 020521.html Cheltenham and Gloucester also had the last Scania delivered to Stagecoach in 2018.
More common recentlyWould a service bus on the 0800 Plymouth to Bristol FALCON be unusual ? Just noted this from upstairs on a X1 at Long Ashton, followed closely by the Badgerline trainer, would have made an unusual photo. 26036 YX65 RCZ.
This appears to be very odd. I thought the 'distance' scheme was for coach type operations whereas the number 10 defiantly isn't a long distance or coach type operation. In this application it appears to be replacing the 'Gold' scheme which (going by previous announcements) had been dropped. I thought next stop announcements were a standard requirement now, or did that change? Vehicles straying from their correct allocation is just standrad practive with Gloucester depot! The new vehicles will be in the yellow "long distance" or "specialist" scheme, with next stop announcements and high backed seats. They will be allocated to service 10, however expect to see them stray, particularly onto the 97/98. The VX62 batch of vehicles will be repainted in due course.
Yes the Gold scheme is being dropped. However whatever replaces it seems to vary from company to company! This appears to be very odd. It seems very weird to me. The 10 is a more local route as 2/3 of the route is in Gloucester so surely it would make sense to have them in local? It guess it's what the company decides in the end. Also, it would seem that most Forest routs are having local liveried vehicles on, will these be local or are the VX61/13s probably be distance too? This appears to be very odd. It's a private grouphttps://www.facebook.com/groups/STAGECOACHWESTENTHUSIASTS/permalink/3112172172397772/ I have a photo here of YT21DVG At ADL Falkirk. If the link doesn’t work I’ll put the picture in here. This also confirms they are distance
Not really surprised Gloucester allocation is not really the best if I’m completely honest. The other day I saw 2 ex Merseyside E300s on the 10 within 30 secs. A YT21 will probably end up on the 97/98 within the first weekA quick visit to Gloucester today to see the Gold deckers on the 10. At least two of the 10 branded ones were on the 10 route, plus (of course) an 97 branded one and (the wildcard) one of the ex Merseyside single deckers in the new livery. One of the missing 10 branded deckers was, as expected, performing on the 97!
It doesent matter how hard the marketing department try, it's all wasted if they haven't got the operations department on their side!
Some 10 running boards are allocated for gold deckers and some for Enviro 300s.Not really surprised Gloucester allocation is not really the best if I’m completely honest. Not sure at the moment - maybe 2 weeks or so as they need to apply fleet numbers and program the Hanover displays. Is there any idea of when they will be in service?
That's never the problem - that can take days. Not sure at the moment - maybe 2 weeks or so as they need to apply fleet numbers and program the Hanover displays.
