Goodbye Kai (aka the Black and White hairy guy) 2006 - 2022.
The best dog in the world and protector of the family. Partial to the odd 37 too… ;)

Thanks for your kind words everyone. It’s not been an easy couple of days I must say. I thought I’d keep the photo of Kai and myself up for a couple more days because it’s a nice reminder when I log in and see that picture.
Anyway it’s all part of having pets isn’t it? Although I must admit that I didn’t expect to be quite so sideswiped as I have been.

Sorry to hear that!

I take it French isn't your first language.

No, I despised learning it. But it was worth posting this.
Hi Mate, i believe this was for Plymouth depot only. They said anyone in the mainline can also join depot driver talent pool and will then been in both as tests and dmi already passed no need to take again. They said very little planned for mainline over next 18 months but lots of depot courses planned. that was in April nothing heard since.
I had an aunt who lived in Llwyngwril and although she had access to a car always used the train to travel to Tywyn or Barmouth as it was so much quicker(and cheaper).
Seat comfort from yesterday: 1- 180, 2 - Lumo, 3 - 802, 4 - 455, 5 - 387, 6 - 700

I certainly owe you many thanks for your amazing blog. The 755 allocations will be immensely helpful when I go home to London and plan a trip to Norwich!
Love your profile picture.

I always wondered what the deal with the red seats on the 334s was.

Aye, I thought the 334s needed a little time in the limelight before I move on to the likes of the 303s, 314s etc lol

Have always wondered about it myself, whether if it's was a stylistic choice or what. Certainly remember it fondly at any rate. :)

You can still see the red moquette in the drivers cab today.

New profile banner photo: the Clyde excursion steamer TS King Edward (1901-1951) - the world's first merchant/commercial vessel to be powered by steam turbines.

Another of my hot takes: I'd argue the King Edward is among the most revolutionary vessels to ever set sail in the last 120 years.
Currently on the 1650 Dundee to Edinburgh. Stopping everywhere in Fife - bar Springfield - doesn’t half make the journey drag on!
My railway-related hot take for today: Class 334s are not that bad. Much as I miss the 303s, I'll always have a soft spot for the Scottish Junipers.

Thanks to you, I am saddled with unnecessary... feelings.

What do you know about rolling down in the deep when your brain goes numb? You can call that mental freeze when these people talk to much. Throw that into slow motion, I feel like an astronaut in the ocean
