Thanks for following me Xenophon! Your joke about the stamens really as quite funny!! I decided to follow you back as you are a very respectable and highly admirable member of the forum!!
The use of a WIPAC light cluster as a user avatar is very curious!
Thank you for following me! I've returned the compliment. Never mind the 60-year age gap!
Many thanks for the info Im getting FR849 for a reservation with an interrail pass, Stockholm to Narvik, would that be right for a reservation, sounds a bit expensive?

What day?

Looking at a random date, 800-900 Krona would be the price for private occupancy of sleeper. Without interrail this would be around 3200.

Seats should be 48 K / less than £5

Occasionally here, but more likely to be on Twitter or email. So don't take it as a snub if i don't respond to an @.
Nice to see everyone on the Blackpool Trams thread reading the posts properly, meaning nobody has to repeat themselves
www.walkingclub.org.uk/walk/ is a list of train station to train station walks mainly in the south east (i.e. the network railcard area).

My main purpose for joining is to get fares advice for our "open jaw" walks.

Just stumbled upon your post somehow and wanted to say I love your website! I'll probably end up doing a few of your walks so thanks.

The struggle for tickets that allow you to return from another station on a different line is one I very much emphasise with, for the same reason!
If any Forum Members are taking pictures of the Dalesman on the S&C - 7th June 2022, could they please message me. I have Family travelling on this trip and would like to get a good photo of the service they are travelling on. I am happy to pay for images or make a donation to a chosen Charity.

Many thanks
This forum is great. When I joined 3 years ago I never would've imagined having a discussion on chip shops with some rail/transport enthusiasts.
How to turn someone who's pro nationalised health services into someone who wants them all privatised:

Step 1 - be the nhs
****ter employees not actually being inclusive and making disparaging remarks about the disabled? Colour me suprised...

Hey, hope you don’t mind me dropping you a msg. Just saw your post about the LNER benefits.
I am due to start with LNER in oct.
Would you mind confirming which TOCs are free travel, and if it’s 75% off with everyone else?
I need to commute to work using alternative TOCs.

Many thanks in adv

Hello, it’s probably worth noting that @Steve. hasn’t logged onto the forum since 2016. They’re unlikely to see your question, you may find the Careers section of the forum helpful if you haven’t already seen this.

The 47s in particular, even compared to the Peaks, seemed to throw out copious amounts of clag.

Because they are utter beasts, of course ;)

(I would have a 47 as my profile pic, but I struggled to find one that worked.)

Depends on who you're asking ofc. ;)

And the latter depends on what kind of 47 pic you wanna use (livery, era, clag or no clag, type of train being hauled etc). A few mid-70s pics here, though they may be too large to use for profile pics lol
I noticed you locked the thread but my query was about announcements - so perhaps if anyone has any information the thread should be unlocked. Thanks
bombardier don’t win everything, it seems to be all hitachi these days ahahaa

Bombardier certainly doesn’t have much of an interest in railway rolling stock.
