Although interestingly, if you read right through that linked announcement, it's twice called Torquay Gateway; once called Torquay Gateweay (sic); but it also says it will be known as Edginswell, and is at Edginswell. It seems to have a bit of an identity crisis!

This the first I've heard of that idea, but I've googled it and sure enough as mentioned by REVUpminster above, a wikipedia entry comes up. Torquay Gateway sounds pretty meaningless to me, but I admit I don't know the area that well. Still, I'm sure there's plenty of time to change the name...
