Fully agree.
There is one thing I'm curious about, which I think has been answered before after someone asked, but why do some routes on RTT not show the mileages by the trains when set in detail mode?

Any VAR inserted on a VSTP basis. So it could be a VSTP schedule then altered, or it could just be any normal schedule pre-planned to operate (that could be a WTT, STP or VAR) which is then altered on the day.
The others you will see are VST (VSTP New, equivalent to a STP on the day) and VCN (VSTP CAN, as per VVR rules really but its been cancelled).
If RTT can work out the mileage between all the mandatory timing and calling points in the schedule and it passes certain rules, it'll show the distances. Otherwise not.

As much as RTT probably could show distance and milage isn't it related to the railmiles site that specialises in such things. You'd think putting such information on RTT would reduce the hits on railmiles.

I mostly use RTT for my miles calculations, especially since I do my records per-train, but certainly I see the appeal of railmiles since it's a lot easier to manage.

Is anyone else having a problem with RailMiles autocompleting journeys? Seems only to be working for journeys on the current day. Is this a change?

Maybe not; I could see the presence of distances as encouraging more people to use Railmiles; RTT only shows the mileages - it doesn't log your journey. Railmiles does. There's likely a very good upselling opportunity for Tom there by having the mileages showing on more routes on RTT...

RTT thinks the 2218 Leeds to York is departing from platform 2.
Looks like the stock that forms it arrived there from Carlisle and perhaps shunted to platform 11?

I noticed that, as I’ve just got off the Carlisle train tonight. It arrived on 11D in the end, so it seems the booked platform must be an anomaly.

I've noticed a lot of train allocations (although some operators's are still present (e.g. LNER)) have disappeared this morning, but on site status it still thinks everything is ok?

There is a problem this morning with a number of industry applications this morning so that is why a number of TOC's are missing
I believe it was mentioned recently that there are more operators who will be joining the Know Your Train feature, but the details of whom cannot be given yet.

I'd guess that would be highly unlikely.
The only reason GBRf show their allocations is that they use the site for work purposes.
It'll be additional passenger operators who will be next, but as others have said we won't know which until it happens.

Does anyone know why a seemingly random amount of trains show the 'Service forms from ####', 'Service forms ####' messages? There seems to be no reason as to what has it attached as far as I can see, at least for GWR. Pretty much all Cardiff services do at the Cardiff end, but also a random spattering of services, mostly in the evening at Paddington, seem to also have them, for no noticeable reason.
I understand one of the timetable sources that sites such as RTT use have what are called “association records” - which link timetables together for next workings, divides/joins enroute and so on.
