So in that case it might be reverted to the original font then?
377401 is on the Brighton to Southampton services today finishing it's shift at Gatwick Airport just to answer your query.377 430 is currently leading the Littlehampton service which left Clapham Junction at 10.22 ( 6th March ).
377 401 has also been released into service after refurbishment but I'm not sure where that is at the moment.

Have the audio announcements changed to match the updated PIS screens?377401 is on the Brighton to Southampton services today finishing it's shift at Gatwick Airport just to answer your query.
As to the refurbishment I've been on 430 and with regards to the power sockets, you have two separate single sockets with two USB sockets per each table of 4 seats and I believe one separate single socket with two USB sockets per each pair of airline seats - all are wall mounted.
The new screens not only show up to date travel information but they also show information that is currently advertised on the cardboard signs such as for example explaining about their safer travel pledge etc...
I should say that the train in question had finished it's inbound working and was in the station awaiting it's next working so the PIS wouldn't have been working at the time I walked though the train to check out the refurbishment.Have the audio announcements changed to match the updated PIS screens?
Oddly I was on 401 earlier but didn't pay attention to that! The PIS Screens don't actually cut off the letters as some suggested. Other than the Plugs(and USB), Info Screens and new font on the PIS, it feels the same inside.Have the audio announcements changed to match the updated PIS screens?
Ah, no worries pal.I should say that the train in question had finished it's inbound working and was in the station awaiting it's next working so the PIS wouldn't have been working at the time I walked though the train to check out the refurbishment.
I am sorry I didn't make it clear.
Looking forward to seeing it myself!Oddly I was on 401 earlier but didn't pay attention to that! The PIS Screens don't actually cut off the letters as some suggested. Other than the Plugs(and USB), Info Screens and new font on the PIS, it feels the same inside.
The LED lighting isn't much noticable (in daylight)
Has the front/back destination screen been modified? Or I am just seeing things?Picture today of 377430 on 17:40 East Croydon to London Victoria. I’m sure announcements were the same
If they have changed it on the external screens, that’s a bad idea. The text as seen on the 377/6 and /7 external screens is absolutely tiny, and scrolls at a snails pace in a jittery, laggy manner.Ah, no worries pal.

I see them pretty much all the time and I think the external screens are fine, they definitely are nothing like you've described. If they have changed it on the external screens, that’s a bad idea. All they;ve gone to the external font is make it less italic and more bold. Slightly Slower than before but still the same size.If they have changed it on the external screens, that’s a bad idea. Im still waiting to drive the thing. Not sure its popped up on metro or east Grinsteads yetFor anyone who is interested in 377 430 today 8th it's just left Clapham Junction at 11.01 for Eastbourne, it's the leading unit ( 377 108 trailing ).
Do the new end displays show live travel information yet?https://twitter.com/cmpd_date/status/1368630007455768579/photo/1
This shows the new end displays rather well.
That video shows exactly what I mean when I say the new PIS scrolls too slowly. I find the original one to be much better
Here's a video of both 377 401 & 430. Happily it answers my question RE: announcements. They are still the same, and the PIS looks really good.
Ive seen either 413 or 416 with the lower light but i cant remember which one of the two it waswhen should we see the next unit out and what no. is it
I'm guessing that the thinking is it going too slow and annoying fast readers is better than it going too fast and being unreadable to slow readers. That video shows exactly what I mean when I say the new PIS scrolls too slowly. I find the original one to be much better
This is one of the reasons why I like the original 377s so much - the lights are a very soft white which creates a lovely relaxed ambience at night especially. There aren't many other trains that do that nowadays.Good to see that the LEDs appear to be warm white. Too many TOCs have made the mistake of going for a horrid daylight blue.

Indeed. It's a bit slow for me as well, but given they seem to have fixed the issue of the characters being cut off at the bottom, the new font is much easier to read and that combined with the slower speed is almost certainly going to be helpful to those with impaired vision.I'm guessing that the thinking is it going too slow and annoying fast readers is better than it going too fast and being unreadable to slow readers.
Graffiti?377606 appears to have had a repaint, saw it heading 1P13 (0817 LBG-CAT) at East Croydon this morning.
